<br> # <center> ENGLISH CONTENT </center> <br> Hello to all the members of this community and craft lovers! I've been wanting to sit down and make some jewelry for a long time, since over the years, my favorite accessories have been damaged or lost. This time, I'll show you some chokers I made, which are a type of necklace that fascinates me and I only had a couple of them. I could have bought them, but I decided to make them because after analyzing my favorite choker, I saw that it wasn't something difficult to make and, as a bad habit, I love trying to make my own things 😆 <br>  <br> My favorite choker is made of a very peculiar ribbon with a kind of interlacing that makes it look very pretty. I don't know what it's called, so I hope you can appreciate it in the photographs. I found an identical black ribbon, and looking through my things, I found a piece of that type of ribbon with various color gradations. I also opted to use fine lace and some roses I had bought years ago. I cut the strips based on the circumference of my neck, since this type of necklace should fit snugly. <br> ||| |-|-| <br> The next thing I did was move on to the sewing machine. I wanted the necklace to look more striking than my test choker, which is simply a ribbon with a clasp. So I thought I'd add some lace to the ribbons to make them more striking. That way, I sewed the lace to the ribbons using a straight stitch. <br> |||| |-|-|-| |||| |-|-|-| <br> This way, I had the "base" for the chokers ready. When I reached this point, I paused the process while I went to buy the other materials I needed: clasps, extenders, and jewelry rings. These materials are available at notions stores and can be purchased individually, half a dozen, or by the dozen, depending on the material. In my case, I only bought what I needed to complete three chokers. <br>  <br> After selecting the chokers I would finish assembling, I attached pieces called "terminals" to both ends. As you can see in the photos, these are rectangular aluminum pieces with a half-ring in the center. I inserted the ribbon inside the pieces and flattened them with jewelry pliers. I found out that normally, when doing this step, you can use a little special glue, but since I didn't know about this step and didn't have it, I didn't do it. It's anything. I can fix it with some cold silicone if it comes loose. Although I doubt the ribbon will come off, since I made sure the pieces were flattened. <br> ||| |-|-| <br> The next step was to attach some pieces that I was told were called "extenders" when I bought them. These are rings that are connected like a chain. I placed the piece on one end of the choker and the hook that would close the necklace on the other. Incidentally, this chain-shaped piece is what allows the necklace to be molded to the thickness of the neck. <br> ||| |-|-| <br> I had thought about leaving them plain, but then I was tempted to add some heart-shaped shapes I had among my jewelry supplies to one of them. I placed them with tweezers right in the center. On another of the chokers, I glued a rose with silicone glue for decoration. <br>  <br> And just like that, the chokers were ready ✨ As you can see, it's an easy accessory to make, not to mention it's fun to see what kind of combinations we can come up with. In the case of the one I made with black and white, it's perfect to wear with any type of clothing or when I want a simpler accessory. In the case of the one I made with blue and pink, I think it's ideal for when blue is the focal point of the outfit or when that color is precisely what's needed to harmonize it. Now, what I call the "rainbow choker" goes with everything, since it comes in so many colors. <br>  <br> I've had the idea of making chokers on my to-do list for years, and now that I've gotten around to making these for everyday use, I must confess I want to make more for myself (remember the pink one in progress 🙃) and others for sale. I'd like to make them more colorful and extravagant. So I hope to buy the materials to get started soon, but for now, I already have new necklaces to wear when I go out, and the choker I always wore can be put to rest, haha. <br> |||| |-|-|-| <br> Thank you so much for visiting my post. Desde hace mucho tiempo quería sentarme a hacer algo de bisutería, ya que con el pasar de los años, se me han ido dañando o perdiendo mis accesorios favoritos. En ésta oportunidad, les mostraré algunos Chokers o gargantillas que hice, los cuales son un tipo de collar que me fascina y sólo tenía un par de ellos. Podría haberlos comprado, pero me animé a fabricarlos porque luego de analizar mi Choker favorito, vi que no era algo difícil de hacer y como mala costumbre, me encanta intentar fabricar mis cosas 😆 <br>  <br> Mi Choker favorito está hecho de una cinta muy peculiar que tiene una especie de entrelazado que la hace lucir muy linda, no sé como se llama, así que espero que puedan apreciarla en las fotografías. Conseguí una cinta idéntica de color negro y revisando entre mis cosas, tenía un trozo de ese tipo de cinta con degradación de varios colores. También, opté por utilizar encajes finos y algunas rosas que había comprado hace años. Corté las tiras tomando como medida el contorno de mi cuello, ya que éste tipo de collares deben de quedar justos. <br> ||| |-|-| <br> Lo siguiente que hice, fue pasar a la máquina de coser. Quería que el collar luciese más llamativo que mi choker de prueba, el cual es simplemente la cinta con el broche. Así que pensé en agregarle a las cintas unos trozos de encaje, para darles más vistosidad. De esa forma, con una costura recta, me encargué de unir el encaje a las cintas. <br> |||| |-|-|-| |||| |-|-|-| <br> De esta forma tuve lista lo que serían las "bases" para los Chokers. Cuando llegué a éste punto, paralicé el proceso mientras iba a comprar los otros materiales que necesitaba: Broches, extensores y aros de bisutería. Estos materiales se encuentran en las mercerías y puedes comprar por unidad, media docena o la docena, dependiendo del material. En mi caso compré únicamente lo necesario para terminar de armar 3 Chokers completos. <br>  <br> Luego de seleccionar los Chokers que terminaría de armar, les coloqué en ambos extremos unas piezas que se llaman "terminales", las cuales, como se pueden apreciar en las fotografías, son unas piezas de aluminio con forma rectangular con una media argolla en el centro. Introduje la cinta dentro de las piezas y las aplasté con unas pinzas de bisutería. Investigué que normalmente al hacer éste paso, se puede usar un poco de pegamento especial, pero como no sabía de este paso ni tengo ese pegamento, no lo hice jaja cualquier cosa, puedo resolver con algo de silicón frío si se llegase a despegar. Aunque dudo que la cinta se salga, ya que me aseguré de que las piezas quedasen bien aplanadas. <br> ||| |-|-| <br> Lo siguiente, fue colocar unas piezas que cuando las compré me dijeron que se llaman "extensores", las cuales son una especie de anillos juntos a modo de cadena. Coloqué la pieza en uno de los extremos del choker y en el otro, el ganchito que permitiría cerrar el collar. Por cierto, esta pieza con forma de cadeneta, es el que permite amoldar el collar al grosor del cuello. <br> ||| |-|-| <br> Había pensado en dejarlos sin agregarles nada más, pero luego me sentí tentada por colocarle a uno de ellos unas figuras en forma de corazón que tenía entre mis materiales de bisutería. Lo coloqué con las pinzas en todo el centro. En otro de los Chokers, lo que hice fue pegar una rosa con silicón frío, a modo decorativo. <br>  <br> Y de esta forma, los Chokers estuvieron listos ✨ Como pueden apreciar, se trata de un accesorio fácil de hacer, sin mencionar que es divertido ver qué clase de combinaciones podemos realizar. En el caso del que hice con colores blanco y negro, es perfecto para usarlo con cualquier tipo de ropa o cuando deseo un accesorio más simple. En el caso del que hice con azul y la rosa, me parece ideal para cuando el color azul es el centro focal del outfit o cuando precisamente ese color es lo que hace falta para armonizar el mismo. Ahora, el que llamo el "Choker arcoíris" combina con todo, ya que tiene muchos colores. <br>  <br> Estuve por años con la idea de hacer Chokers en mi lista de cosas por hacer y ahora que me he animado a realizar estos para mi uso diario, debo confesar que deseo hacerme más para mí (recuerden que quedó el de color rosa en proceso 🙃) y otros para la venta. Me gustaría hacerlos más vistosos y extravagantes. Así que espero comprar los materiales para ponerme con ello pronto, pero por los momentos, ya tengo nuevos collares para lucir cuando salga y podrá descansar el Choker que siempre usaba jaja. <br> |||| |-|-|-| <br> Muchas gracias por haber visitado mi publicación.
