¡Hola a todos los integrantes de ésta comunidad! Una vez más me uno al [concurso](https://peakd.com/hive-192096/@topfivefamily/anunciando-los-ganadores-del-concurso-0c832e67ac7bc) pautado para ésta semana. Tras ver la imagen, correspondiente a un árbol de navidad, pensé en una situación que estoy viviendo que casualmente tiene que ver con ese símbolo tan representativo de estas fiestas.

Sin que nos diéramos cuenta, Diciembre se nos vino encima. Hace unos años, para mí era una época divertida, en la que involucraba regalos, comida deliciosa y una alegría colectiva. En mi hogar, siempre ha estado la tradición de adornar la casa para las fiestas y como era de esperarse, el árbol de navidad, no podía faltar. Todavía recuerdo el segundo árbol de navidad que mis padres compraron ¡Era enorme! O más bien, así lo veía en mi estatura de niña y bajo la ilusión óptica que generaba al tocar el techo, ya que el apartamento, era bastante bajo.

Durante muchos años, ese "árbol enorme" fue decorado en casa de muchos estilos y colores de moda. Cuando nos mudamos de estado y crecimos, ese árbol siguió con nosotros. En la nueva casa ya no se veía como un árbol colosal, pero se seguía viendo majestuoso para nosotros luego de ser decorado con enormes lazos y esferas de colores. A pesar de que ya no habían regalos a los pies del árbol, la alegría de las festividades seguía rondando en torno a él.

Más recientemente, nos mudamos de nuevo a la ciudad, sólo que ésta vez, el árbol de navidad no nos acompañó, pues mi madre pensó que lo mejor, era dejarlo atrás y cambiarlo por uno nuevo o más bien, bajo la promesa de un árbol que nos sería obsequiado... Sin embargo, a último momento, la persona que nos iba a obsequiar el árbol se echó para atrás y ahora, por primera vez en más de veinte años, no tendremos un árbol de navidad decorado en casa. Mi hermana, aún llevada por el espíritu navideño, está en busca de alternativas, como si fuera una necesidad que hay que satisfacer...

<br>

Por mi lado, no me importa realmente eso. Después de todo, los adornos como el árbol de navidad, no son más que símbolos  que buscan de representar algo más sublime y trascendental que una casa decorada para la ocasión. El deseo de cambio, la unión entre los familiares y amigos, así como el significado religioso que la fecha conlleva... eso debería ser más importante que todo el asunto del decorado. Espero que, a pesar del inconveniente del árbol ausente, lo verdaderamente esencial, no falte en mi familia.

Hello to all the members of this community! Once again I join the [contest](https://peakd.com/hive-192096/@topfivefamily/anunciando-los-ganadores-del-concurso-0c832e67ac7bc) scheduled for this week. After seeing the image, corresponding to a Christmas tree, I thought about a situation that I am experiencing that coincidentally has to do with that symbol that is so representative of these holidays.

Without us realizing it, December came upon us. A few years ago, it was a fun time for me, involving gifts, delicious food, and collective joy. In my home, there has always been a tradition of decorating the house for the holidays and as expected, the Christmas tree could not be missing. I still remember the second Christmas tree my parents bought. It was huge! Or rather, that's how I saw it in my height as a child and under the optical illusion that I generated when touching the ceiling, since the apartment was quite low.

<br>

For many years, that "huge tree" was decorated at home in many fashionable styles and colors. When we moved out of state and grew up, that tree stayed with us. In the new house it no longer looked like a colossal tree, but it still looked majestic to us after being decorated with huge bows and colored spheres. Even though there were no more presents at the foot of the tree, the joy of the holidays still hovered around it.

More recently, we moved back to the city, only this time, the Christmas tree did not accompany us, because my mother thought that the best thing was to leave it behind and exchange it for a new one or rather, under the promise of a tree. that it would be given to us... However, at the last minute, the person who was going to give us the tree backed out and now, for the first time in more than twenty years, we will not have a decorated Christmas tree at home. My sister, still carried away by the Christmas spirit, is looking for alternatives, as if it were a need that must be satisfied...

<br>

For my part, I don't really care about that. After all, decorations like the Christmas tree are nothing more than symbols that seek to represent something more sublime and transcendental than a house decorated for the occasion. The desire for change, the unity between family and friends, as well as the religious meaning that the date carries... that should be more important than the whole decoration issue. I hope that, despite the inconvenience of the missing tree, what is truly essential is not missing in my family.
