RAM trading is great in that it is another avenue to make money unfortunately it also puts up a barrier to adoption of EOS. Things like accounts cost more and developers face increased costs. Currently 50GB of RAM has been purchased but only 1GB is being used. That means most is down to speculation (source Greymass).

Greymass have come up with a proposition that sounds a little like virtual memory. Whatever it actually is would certainly destroy the speculative RAM market. That's a Boo! in the short-term but a Yay! for us in it for the long-term.
