I've heard that Zimbabwe has a serious problem with currency now because of inflation. That's why this country has more possibility of using cryptocurrency.

Yesterday i met a Zimbabwean who are traveling malawi. I was curious the actual situation that the local people saw and felt. 

Zimbabwean government stoped using its own currency, when the inflation brought the situation making note of trillion(1,000,000,000,000).
Nowadays, USD is used as official currency in Zimbabwe. They also used to use ZAR(South african currency) a few years ago, but not any more. Even the villagers are also using USD. 

And we started talking about cryptocurrency, and he also knew it. I wanted to ask about cryptocurrency in Zimbabwe, but I didn't know what I should have asked. 
So I suggested to him to have interview within some days, when I have some questions from my friends.

I'll have an appointment for interview on next monday(maybe). Hopefully before that, I can get some source to ask:-)

Actually, I can meet some local people who are coming from the other african countries very rarely.
I wish this time can be a opportunity to know real condition of Zimbabwe for anybody who is interested!

짐바브웨가 인플레이션을 심각하게 겪은 나라라고 알고 있어요. 그래서 암호화폐가 상용화 될 가능성도 높은 곳이라고 들었고요.

어제는 말라위를 여행 중인 짐바브웨 사람을 만날 수 있었어요. 그리고 짐바브웨 사람이 실제 보고 느낀 통화환경이 어떤지가 궁금했습니다.

화폐 단위가 1조(1,000,000,000,000)를 넘어가게 되었을 때, 짐바브웨 정부는 자체 화폐 제작을 멈추고 사용하지 않기로 했다고 합니다.
지금은 미국달러(USD)를 공식화폐로 사용하고 있다고 해요. 한 때는 남아공 랜드(ZAR)도 사용했었는데 이제는 사용하지 않는대요. 도시 뿐만 아니라 시골 작은 마을에서도 달러를 화폐로 쓰고 있다고 합니다.

암호화폐에 대한 이야기를 꺼내자 그 친구도 암호화폐에 대해 알고 있었고, 또 관심을 보였는데요, 문제는 제가 암호화폐를 잘 몰라서 뭘 물어봐야할지 몰랐습니다ㅠㅠ
그래서 제가 친구들한테 궁금한게 있는지 물어본 후에 인터뷰할 수 있겠냐고 했더니 좋다고 하더라고요!

사실 저도 여기 머물면서 서구권이나 남아공과 같은 상대적으로 발전한 나라에서 온 사람이 아닌 인근 국가에서 온 '현지인'을 만날 기회가 많지는 않아요. 관심있으신 분들이 보다 실제적인 정보를 얻을 수 있는 기회가 되면 좋겠습니다😌
