PICTURES AND REFLECTION
When I hear reflection, I think mirrors. But I do not use mirrors a lot. I used to and then I stopped. Got tonguelashed  for always staring at it. Lol. But that does not alter the place of reflection. Mirrors are basically for facial and physical appearances.

Meanwhile pictures are a thing I make sure to take whenever I find myself at any point. I like to just look at them and be remembered of times like that. My pictures have the place of my mirror(not exactly) when it comes to reflection. I just look at the picture from a week, two weeks, a year or years ago and then see how far I have come and how much things have changed. I like to look at the growing man with a bag full of experiences and a head full of optimism.

Facebook gave me a reminder some days back. The picture was of me in university. And I immediately remembered that time when I was struggling to hold up and just
manage through while having what I thought was the best time of my life.
It’s been years ever since and a look at that picture made me understand better the words "change is constant". My life right now is a little better than it was. The things I loved so much and was bothered to get myself now seems so not-worth-it and like kid stuff

Since I am not a sit-down-and-reflect kind of person. I just know to organize my dealings and whenever the overwhelming feeling of laidback-ness creeps in, I go through my picture gallery to remind myself that every new day is better than the previous. This shakes off whatever bad feeling I might be having and gives me renewed strength.

Other times, I look at little kids and the elderly and draw from them the similarities and try to inculcate their attitudes to life; carefree, cheerful, and nothing less than the slow, happy and steady grind. Knowing that life is transient and things are in stages gives me some coolheadedness and redirects my focus....I hope you get this.

There are too many things we can draw reflections from but the above, tho they may seem unusual, are mine.
