"Directly, or indirectly, everything we write is for someone."
- If you find yourself awake at 3am, unable
to sleep because your mind is thinking
too much
you might be a writer.

- If you fall in love with words, because
what they mean or the way they roll off
your tongue
you might be a writer.

- If you spend hours trying to come up
with the perfect description of something
fairly simple
you might be a writer.

- If you're not afraid of letting your
deepest thoughts run wild on an endless
blank page
you might be a writer.

- If your mind is a twisted place, crammed
full with beauty, darkness and a slighy bit
of madness
you might be a writer.

- If you often create conversations in your
head, regardless of if you'll ever actually
use them
you might be a writer.

See, that's the thing about writers and writing. You gotta have someone in your heart or mind or even soul to bring that out onto the page. Emptiness can't be jotted down. It gotta be an emotion ,any emotion, related to any person which is transformed into words.

So many of my writings are in the possession of either someone who needed it or the person who provoked it. It has been my way of sharing, at least in the past and as an introvert, may I say, it was not only my choice to do with them what I wanted but the right choice spiritually. I try not to harbor resentment but there's still a sting when recalling non writers say," it's your responsibility to get it out there". Always try to understand in some dimension anyone you appreciate or any writing they may share.
That is selfless.

And most times that someone is ourselves. Writing is a form of release when thoughts become too overwhelming. We release them out in the open to lessen their blow and loosen their hold so we can endure the burden some more. We release them for our own peace.

- Be it in the simplest or shortest words we use, it is always meant for someone. We somehow wish even with the slightest hope that this words would reach that someone. But then again, oftentimes that someone is US.
