 今天继续和Frank Fradella 的教科书学画脸。 > Today, I continue to follow the instruction on the "Drawing Basics" by Frank Fradella to learn and practice how to draw face. 脸的形状非常多，有圆的，方的，尖的，椭圆形的 等等。每个人的脸都不一样。 这里以一种脸型为例，来看看怎样按比例画脸。 > As we all know that there are different shapes of faces, ie. round, square, pointed, oval etc. Everyone is different. But to learn some basics for drawing face, let's take oval as an example. 先画个大概的椭圆形，并画上垂直和平行的中心线 。垂直中心线可以帮助我们画两边五官更对称。而横向中心线则是眼睛的大概位置线。 > Let's take the roughly oval shape and cut it in half, the vertical line is called the center line. The horizontal one is the eye line.  然后在眼睛线和脸底边线的中间加上一小道线，这会是鼻子线。这条线不要太长，短短一截就可以了。 > Halfway between eye line and the bottom of the face, add another line. It represents the bottom of the nose. Doesn't need this to go across the whole head. Just a short dash.  最后在鼻子线和下巴线中加上另一道长点的线，这是嘴巴线。 > Lastly, add another line to represent the mouth halfway between the bottom of the nose dash and the chin.  作为新手，需要具体的眼睛长度标示。按书上建议，人脸从一边到另一边大概是眼睛长度的五等分。所以把眼睛线分五等就可以得出眼睛长度线。 而且鼻子的宽度和一只眼睛的长度一样。 > Let's go back to eye line. As a starter, we would need to mark off the width of the eye. As suggested by the book, from side to side, the human head is approximately five eyes wide. So let's divide the eye line by 5 to get the width of eye on both sides. And also note that the width of the nose line is equal to the width of one of the eyes.  你可能没想到嘴巴和鼻子以及脸的中心点是一个规范的三角形吧？ > You were not expecting this to be a triangle, were you?  这是依照以上的步骤画出的一副完整的脸。 在画头发的时间记住少就是多。只要大概把一些主要的地方按照头发的走势画出就可以给人完整的头发感觉。 > After all the preparations, followed what I learned before to come up with the complete face. When draw hairs, always remember less is more. Only highlight few that suggest the movement of where hair is going, instead of drawing everything.  人脸加上表情后由于肌肉的牵动会变得不一样。 > The human face is capable of expressions. Shape of the eyes, mouth, nose, etc will change with expression & emotion. 这是同样刚才那位男子笑得时候的样子: > Let's assume this is a drawing of the same man when he smiles :)  这是一位忧伤的男子的五官。 > And this is a man with sad face  在学画表情的时候，如果找不到模特，或不好意思找人，可以对着镜子里的自己做画。这是非常不错的方法。 > If you want to practice drawing expressions and are shy to find models or ask for help, always keep in mind that mirror is your best friend. ### 画脸必须知道的： ### What we need to know: 1. 脸是由不同形状的元素组成。要知道怎样把他们结合在一起。 > The face is made up of several elements. We need to know basics of how to put them together. 2. 所有的这些脸特性变化很大，但千变不离其中，他们都有基本的原理所在。 > All these features can vary very widely. But the basic rules apply to them all. 3. 在画表情的时候，可以借助镜子。 > Mirrors are the best friend when we practice drawing expressions. 4. 所有的五官都有各自的特色和深度。 所以，要学会用一些浅的细线来帮助我们判断他们相互之间的关系。可以最后擦掉。 > All the features have depth. Need to learn to use some light contour lines to help us guide their relative distance.
