Wouldn't it be insane? I mean, the founder of Facebook? Isn't that just awesome? You may say what's the big deal? I would say that whether you like Facebook or not, here is a guy who changed the way people across the world connected, he got billions hooked to what he created! That means something, doesn't it? His accomplishments speak for themselves **and suppose he liked my status update!** <center></center> **What if I say that's exactly what happened to me? Not on Facebook, I don't much do Facebook these days, but here on Steemit!** ### Drumrolls!!!!!!!! ## Yes, I got an upvote from @ned. A plankton like me! So tiny that people are not even sure whether we should be called a plankton or a redfish! <center></center> ## Ginabot, you beauty!!! <center></center> @ginabot gave me the update. She had before this stopped notifying on upvotes but she fixed herself right on time to give me this awesome news! Isn't she awesome? <center></center> @ned had given me a 17% upvote which translated to more than $90 at the time of the upvote! That means a lot to my plankton self! My previous high was like $10, and another $3, almost everything else I have got has been less than $1, much less than $1 on most occasions! ## So this is big!!! <center></center> ## What did I comment? Comment, comment, comment! It pays, as I have been saying throughout! 2. Comment with quality. If something is more important than the number of comments you make, it's the quality of each of those comments. 3. Spend your effort on creating quality comments on quality posts. It's not probable that someone like @ned will upvote you, or upvote me again, but **there are several whales and many more dolphins who encourage good conversations and they may reward you**. If nothing else, you will get at least some earning from your commenting. @taskmaster4450 has written extensively about this and I will write a post about my commenting experience soon. <center></center> ## Finally **Do not give up and be consistent!** This is coming from my own experience of being a plankton who is slowly growing. I will be a minnow, I don't know when but I am confident that day will come sooner rather than later. **I believe in myself.
