Palnet Quick Tip: Why Are Rewards Changing So Much On My Posts?
Here's one of the questions we've been receiving

"Just curious. I notice that the pending payout for my first PalNet.io post keeps dropping. It was up to 50 and now down to 44 PAL. Just wondering why this is happening."

Well, there are two ways to look at this. The math way, or the metaphor way.

Math way = 1.575 million PAL per year for proof of brain
That = 4315 PAL per day in the rewards pool
Divide that by the number of votes.. And There you go!

The more people that use palnet, the more this number will change

We do expect this to equalize out after the claim-drop is completed and the pool reaches its filling point.

And THAT brings up the metaphor way to look at it.

When a pool is empty and you start filling it with water (or PAL) there's a ton of turbulence as the water tries to equal out, but as that pool fills, the water coming in does not disrupt the rest of the water as much.

And this is why things are looking goofy right now.

In time, we will know exactly how much PAL does what to the reward pool, until then, it's pretty much a guessing game.

Also: We know it as well as you guys do. It's no fun up-voting and not seeing a change in payouts. We 100% are working on getting the decimal places to show.

We're getting our first round of payouts tomorrow already! Exciting times are with us and we hope we make this journey fun and abundant.
