I have been on steemit for almost three years but I have never seen exchanges showing so much interest in them. The price of Hive may be down from its all-time but the news about Hive is spreading like a wildfire and there is no stopping that. I woke up today only to open Twitter and see #hive trending everywhere. Before I went to sleep, I had already seen the news that Hbtc and Hotbit exchanges are going to list Hive. 

This morning, I got a notification from Wazirx (one of the biggest exchanges in India) that they were going to list Hive. Boboo exchange also announced that they will list hive. I have no clue about this exchange but it looks fairly a new one and based in Singapore. 

#### How Will These Listings Help Hive

I have a simple understanding of new listings which is that more listings will bring new investors from different parts of the globe. While many people will disagree with my opinion, I strongly believe that more exchanges mean more investors. There are a few countries whose people can't access the big exchanges like Huobi, binance, and others. This is where these smaller exchanges will come into play and they have a big role to play in the future. 

Among the four new listings, I think that Hotbit and WazirX will play a big role in increasing the daily trading volume as they have plenty of users. 

#### WazirX

WazirX is arguably the best exchange in India. When all other exchanges were closing and moving to more crypto-friendly countries due to government restrictions, WazirX stood firm and despite all the hardships it emerged as the top exchange in India. I have traded many times on this exchange with no hiccups at all. 

WarirX was purchased by Binance for a whopping $20 million earlier this year. Hive has been listed under rapid listing which means that we can't deposit or withdraw Hive on WazirX but we can still trade it and I hope that they will enable deposits and withdrawals soon. 

#### Hotbit

Hotbit is ranked number 8 on coinmarketcap in terms of volume with a volume of over $2 billion. However, I am really not a fan of Hotbit as they report fake volume and I have experienced it myself. Now that Hive is listed on Hotbit, you will notice a big spike in daily volume of Hive. I have traded on Hotbit many times and although they report high volumes, I think that actual volume on Hotbit is only 5% of what is reports. 

But I won't be worried about that too much as we are not losing anything. We have gained an exchange even if it fakes volume, there is still a way for people to trade Hive on Hotbit. 

Bittrex also announced HIVE/USD and HIVE/USDT pair yesterday. It is the first time that we have a USD pair. BTC also listed Hive with a USDT pair. [Gate](https://gate.io) also announced that they will be listing either steem or hive depending on which coin gets more votes. If you happen to have an account on Gate.io, please consider voting for Hive. 

#### Way Forward

We have been a great community and we continue to impress the crypto world and many outside it. We don't have any bosses on Hive, the community runs the project and so far, we have done great. We just need to stick together as long as it takes and spread the word about Hive. 
It's really unfortunate that we have to make use of centralized social media to promote our decentralized one. However, this strategy seems to work pretty nicely at the moment. Twitter has been of great help to Hive and we need to continue sharing our articles and news about Hive on Twitter. We may someday become a place to promote businesses but for now, we have to make use of the best means possible.
