I have posted this info already but I have got a flag because I used a photo from the internet. But it was not cheatting I just wanted to show my friends here a panorama of this place but I can't make such a photo by myself - i don't have a helicopter with a cam. So I have made this post again with my own photos only. It's in the Crimea, Russia, city Kerch. It's the lake Tobechik - a very famous place. Why? 1 - it's a unique place where you can see the lake from 1 side and the sea from another. This is the largest estuary in the southeast of the Kerch Peninsula. Its area is 18 square meters! The history of this place says that earlier the lake was reported with the sea, and it was full of fish. Later, to reduce the road to the settlements, its banks were connected by an artificial embankment - thereby the isthmus, and the communication with the sea was established by underground pipes. However, the idea was a failure: the pipes quickly clogged with mud, and the lake turned out to be cut off from the sea forever. Fish all quickly transferred, and the lake itself quickly chopped and even almost dried up. That is why, the second reason for the popularity of this place is the huge salt deposits that were left on the bottom of the once-former lake here. This picture looks very picturesque, especially in the rays of sunset, when the crystals play in the sun. And, finally, the lake is famous for its curative mud. Archaeologists have repeatedly found historical evidence that previously the mud of this lake was actively used in the treatment of almost all deseases. Moreover, they were even exported abroad, as particularly valuable. From the archives it is also known that at the beginning of 1900 there was the most popular mud baths here. Recreation by the sea, smoothly flowing into healing mud and quiet walks along the salt banks of dry Tobechik is a pleasure 3-in-1!
