When self-identity is full of egoism!
<div class="text-justify">

It is a complex term that I am going to write about but I love to write something about my own feeling about some facts that make me think whatever the wrong interpretation or right I love thinking and writing about that. It is my personal freedom that I can express my feeling on any topic until it is not spreading any kind of negative impact on society or abuse any group of people based on their colors, religions, and nationality!

It is difficult to give the definition of Egoism but I can take help from [Dictionary.com](https://www.dictionary.com/browse/egoism) which telling "Egoism is the habit of valuing everything only in reference to one's personal interest; selfishness (opposed to altruism)" and for the more cleared definition I got from the [Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egoism) which defines the egoism as "Egoism is a philosophy concerned with the role of the self, or ego, as the motivation and goal of one's own action."

So, there are two important parts that are the most concerned with egoism and they are selfishness or self-interest and another one is the action that is biased toward selfishness! Point be noted that these two things are closely correlated with each other but they can be different in terms of the action which is proof of egoism in a person.

There are many people who have egoism but often he has to sacrifice their actions that originate from egoism for better personal benefits or some goals to achieve by covering all the egoisms tactically. Most of them are involved in many dirty politics and in charitable activities. Especially such people are mostly found in third-world countries where most of the people are suffering from numerous problems leading their life to manage their basic needs government officials do a lot of corruption but they sacrifice their ego when they are asking for votes before election day!

Oppositely there are also some people who have egoism inside them but they have no power or capability to show up their ego in their actions due to thousand of limitations in their life. And most importantly, these people suffer a lot from mental stress and dissatisfaction with their life. Whatever the situation is egoism is a common matter for all people but the degree of egoism varies from person to person.

# Is egoism bad human characteristics?
You can find thousands of articles about this debate but according to my concern, egoism is really beyond the debate! then all those people are wasting their time on the debate? **The answer is not positive or negative but they are preparing some thoughts and knowledge for satisfying people's hunger for the answers to their questions.** If there is no debate then the journey of knowledge creation will be stopped. All the groups have their points in support of their arguments which can not be ignored at all. So, what is the purpose of my points of the debate is beyond the answer!

The answer from my side is very simple for a simple person like me, **there are no such things that all people will think in a similar way in any topic which is strongly related to personal thoughts and emotions without hampering the ethical state of society and human civilization.** And that's why there is no ending to the debate of making egoism a bad or good thing!

Though there is a positive term for egoism known as [Ethical Egoism](https://lucidphilosophy.com/847-2/) to distinguish between the positive actions and the negative actions which are the secondary revealing of egoism from the inner side of a person! But how to justify the term when the person is not doing the action in spite of being a very egoistic person?

I am not going through such a deep theoretical explanation about different egoism which can be read from the [Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy](https://plato.stanford.edu/entries/egoism/) as I am going to express my own simple thoughts on egoism.

# Nurturing egoism in a positive way
My one and only comment on egoism are to nurture it in a positive way which will make egoism a good characteristic but there are also many bad things with egoism that should be checked by the person as no one can interfere in this case! People are very good humans until bad things come out of that person and it is not a bad idea to be fooled by that person from the prior state. You can't judge a person without any actions and some rumors can be the worst judgment.

It is true that an egoistic person is always selfish and his all activities are self-welfare-centric but if he is not doing harm to anyone then you can't call him a bad person and here comes the debate of the negative actions from a self-centered person! But most of the time egoistic persons are overconfident, self-obsessed; rude in behavior, lack empathy, and can insult anyone as a cruel person! And all of these characters make a person complete garbage in the eyes of common people. But if they can avoid the bad things in his action by being a selfish person without harming others then you can't call him a bad person at all. **Not helping others is okay but harming others is never expected!**

Also, a selfish person can succeed in his life with some selfish-type qualities such as frequently saying no when they see it is wrong and his demand is not fulfilling. This quality is very important to succeed in any sector of life. The other thing is handling his job perfectly and this quality makes him go further in any competitive sector. The employer will also get more benefits from the selfish guy!

In conclusion, egoism is an inbuilt characteristic that everybody has inside them but our duty is to realize egoism and try to control it according to the situations. Thanks a lot for your time and attention in reading my long post. If you have queries regarding the spot please feel free to let me know in the comment section. I will catch you at the next.
Have a nice day!
