Do you ever get tired of it?

I do. One has to think about what lengths these governments and institutions are willing to go to to protect their citizens from having better, freer, more fulfilling lives.

You know, there are lots of questions surrounding the future of crypto and whether it can actually deliver what it promises, but one thing is for certain - those who ~~run~~ ruin the economy now are completely trustworthy, they are a sure thing. It is as close to guaranteed that they (whoever is in power doesn't actually matter) are going to do all they can to fuck us over time and time again, until we are so fucked, we see our lives as so useless, we may as well waste it by attacking them.

At some point, we will wake up and see this all for what it is, won't we? Governments are not designed to improve our lives, they are established to control our lives, and protect their position, by convincing us we can't do without them. They do this by making themselves indispensable, by force. Do as we say is good for you, or you will be punished. 

Absolutism. While they argue back and forth between the various parties, they all believe that the government as a whole is the only way things can work, that it is the only option to "save the people" (from themselves). Yet, instead of even attempting to do the highly unlikely, they are going to use the mechanisms that *they create* to line their pockets, and that of their friends. They are the First Estate.

The Second Estate are the corporations, and while the don't exactly pay no tax, they don't exactly pay their fair share either. And, these have to be protected and encouraged to pay even less, because it is the corporations that provide the support for the First Estate. It is the extraction layer, the filter that pulls value in and pushes it into the hands at the top, so that the filter can be reinforced, broadened, and the gap widened.

Many thought it was going to be between the US and Mexico, but what it was actually between the fraction of a percent at the top, and everyone else. While the top gets fatter, the bottom is going to increasingly face shortages of everything that matters to them, food, shelter, and opportunity to succeed.

And perhaps this is what those in power are missing. While they are doing all they can, to extract all they can, people are suffering - or at least, *fell* they are suffering. This causes unrest and desperation and instead of control, they have millions of people behaving like cornered animals. While they are trying to crush financial revolution, they are creating more and more enemies in the process, taking options off the table that people are turning to in order to survive. Instead of quelling unrest, 

>They are stoking the fire.

The power protection is getting increasingly transparent and as "average people" are starting to look around for alternative ways to survive, they are not only seeing what has caused their misery, but the same hands are throttling potential sources of light. 

>Give someone enough rope, and they will hang themselves.

The rope was given and even more was taken - and they are incriminating themselves, setting themselves up as a target, for failure, for an overthrow. And, as history tends to repeat, the time will come. When the top has taken too much and the bottom has too little left, the animalistic nature of humanity is not far away. The pressure is mounting, under a surface of financial hardship and social pain. 

They keep pushing this FUD because it creates the fear of control, but when the fear that freezes us becomes too great, it dips into *fight or flight* mode, and there is nowhere left to run.

Whose neck is on the chopping block, and whose is in the noose?
