This picture is representative of my head at the moment. I am sitting at work and have several tasks to do but the one I am trying to do just isn't coming together, it needs something inspired. Any idea?

Well, of course I can't give you the task to do due to NDAs but it would be nice to be able to crowdsource some of the aspects that I am am struggling with since most likely, the knowledge resources reside here on Steem.

Sometimes it just requires stepping back snd looking at it from a different angle to have a view of what might have been overlooked or see the hole where the jigsaw puzzle fits. Things can come together very quickly when the components come into place but at the moment, I feel I am missing that piece that brings the picture together.

The problem I am facing is a knowledge gap in my understanding of the various systems, structure and customer view of the new company and this task requires deeper information than I hold. Normally I would be able to leverage the information banks of my colleagues for perspective, but I am here mostly alone today.

It is frustrating not to have the ideas flow, something that I generally don't struggle with in other areas. What I am thinking about doing is workshopping it a little out loud on a board and seeing if speaking it brings in some new ideas.

Workshopping my thoughts is something I do a fair bit and often (for what I can) I will put them out on Steem. Something that I have realised in my own business model is that having ideas is useless if I don't have the skills to develop them unless I share and collaborate. I have been able to bring value to my customers in areas that I by myself could never take advantage of due to ability or resources.

I think this is something that the developers on Steem could leverage as the community is a wealth of improvement and application ideas that for the most part, they are unable to utilise. Not every idea is a good idea however, and not every idea is worth implementing but having the pool of idea resources available is an excellent way to see trends and perhaps, find that killer app.

Well, that was my coffee break number two and now, time for joining The workshop of one. Perhaps it is like composing music or painting a picture?

Back to the drawing board and today, I mean that in the literal sense as it tends to help me connect with the thoughts better.

What is your preferred approach to problem solving?
