I think many are at the moment, as they contemplate their position in life, love and *lucre.*

Are you Antifragile?

Honestly.

While people talk about it as some kind of trend, what are the conditions that makes us "the best version" of ourselves, and do we actively build our lives to facilitate it? I suspect not, since over the years I have listened to many complaints about many things, from people who say they want different, but avoid the conditions needed.

>I want to be in a good relationship!

*While they spend 80% of their free time gaming on a Playstation.*

It might sound judgmental, but that is just an example to illustrate the personal conflicts we have between *what we want* and *what we are willing to do to have* what we want. Most people are far less willing *to do* than they care to admit, but because they think about what they want all the time, they feel they are *doing something* toward having it. This means that their thoughts have raised an expectation of a future accomplishment, that essentially has no possibility of being accomplished, leaving them disappointed, disillusioned and depressed. 

*Stressed too.*

Sound familiar?

This is daily life in crypto, where the user *opts in* to an environment where it is on them to make the decisions and, wear the consequences for the skin they have chosen to put in the game. And, this environment is filled with shocks as "projects" boom and fall in price, mistakes are made, hackers find faults, the media and governments attack and there are failures to the left, right and center. Lots of volatility.

Which is interesting, as while it might not be everyone's cup of tea, "life in crypto" is very much an environment that is built to test participants limitations and as a result, many people *becomes stronger* for the experience. Where else can a person lose a million dollars in value whilst struggling to pay bills, and shake it off as,

>*part of the game.*

# Filthy Lucre

*Bullshit.*

Money (tradeable value) is a core component of the society we have and it allows us to collaborate and develop together, at a scale that we couldn't otherwise. It is an enabler for us to build bigger than we can alone, because it offers an incentive to do so - *talking about it* is vital to build our understanding enough, so that our incentives aren't misaligned or, we aren't trading our own values too cheaply.

>It is no wonder we are told not to speak about money.

Instead, *we stress about it.* But, not in a way that makes us stronger, because we do not have access to the environment filled with the tools and information on how to handle it. What we are given is the *need for it,* but not the opportunity to actually control our own wealth and as a result, we are passive agents in the system, with limited chance to act for ourselves in our own best interest. WE are conditioned to be reliant on others to handle our value, our wealth and price our tradeable assets, telling us what we are worth. We are passengers in the traditional economy, living at the mercy of authorities that have convinced us we cannot do it for ourselves - that we *need them.*

And, it is these same who create the FUD that generates the fear in us that *they might be right,* perhaps we are incapable of managing ourselves, of working out ways to trade and collaborate together, building what we choose. So, we proxy our opportunity and get told what to build and, what price we are going to get for our goods and services. 

Perhaps it is "distasteful" to talk about fiat, because the entire fiat-based, centralized system is set up to extract value from those it has entrapped, like a Venus fly trap, a vampire. Perhaps fiat money is "filthy" because of the dishonorable way in which the monetary system has been set up in order to take advantage of the most vulnerable, the uninformed, the *kept in the dark.*

>Crypto is not fiat.

It might seem that it is the same to many, because of the way we have been conditioned to think about what we value, but the environment is quite different. Whilst the fiat ecosystem is set up for a continual consolidation of power, the decentralized economies are designed for a continual dissolution of power of the center, effectively spreading opportunity wider to take advantage of the compounding nature of diversity. 

Rather than the centralized weakness when failure of the core is inevitable, there is strength and protection through an environment that shifts and moves through endless directions at once, through multiple cores, all acting independently, while still bound within the same environment, affecting each other, collaborating, competing. The more nodes, the less impact failure of nodes have and because each is somewhat different, there is no failure that takes out all simultaneously. 

An antifragile system that incentivizes challenge, growth, stress, volatility and health of the system through a continual process of, 

>*fail small, fast.* 

Do you want to be in a system where you are incentivized to be at your strongest, or one where an authority is incentivized by you being at your weakest? Do you want to be in control of your own life direction, or told what direction to take? 

What is the best environment to discover, the best version of you?

> ##### The best is a scarce resource, making it hard to attain and difficult to hold.
