I am ready.

I don't know if I should be ready, but I am ready nonetheless.

> ## Rebellion

>an act of armed resistance to an established government or leader.

>the action or process of resisting authority, control, or convention.

It is the second definition that resonates with me for being in crypto - and it is the last word that describes the approach - convention. Or its opposite.

> ## Unconventional
>/ˌʌnkənˈvɛnʃən(ə)l/

>not based on or conforming to what is generally done or believed.

Let's face it - compared to the average, we are mostly outliers here on Hive, aren't we? The average would judge us insane. Yet, are we?

>Only time will tell.

But how crazy is it to believe that in order to have control over our lives, we need to take responsibility for our actions. And in order to do that, we need to have ownership of our resources. It is only when we have ownership that we are able to direct our actions, yet even without, we are still accountable for our outcomes.

>We can play the blame game.

But who does that help? That is the play for the weak. *And the politicians.* If we believe that politicians are crooked, why would we want to behave like them? Even worse, behave like them without the benefits they receive.

One of the *many* things I have learned in crypto that has changed my behavior, is the importance of ownership. It can take many forms and comes in various structures, but if we want a better experience across the globe, we have to encourage ownership of our individual worlds.

>Being free is an impossibility. As soon as freedom is gained, responsibility cages us again.

But isn't it better to take responsibility of our own actions, rather than pay the consequences of the actions of others? Especially since *their* actions don't have our interests in mind at all - let alone our wellbeing. The power grab by the few isn't to make the world a better place, it is to make the world a better place for some.

>Not the majority.

It is about ramping up exclusion, by weaponizing "who we are" to divide and conquer. While we spend our resources fighting over the irrelevant, those same resources are being pooled into the controlling pockets and used to divide the cage, and separate us along another line. We fight against each other, without realizing that we are all in this together, all playthings of the same masters, all slaves.

>The Rebellion.

*It is coming.*

You can feel it, can't you? The economy fracturing. The world breaking under the pressure of gross mismanagement and greed.

>Nature *always* survives - but nothing else *always* survives nature.

Every empire fails. And therefore, every rebellion fails too.

> Just zoom out far enough.

*We will fail too.* But instead of life being meaningless, this gives us the chance to make our life our own. The inevitable end is predetermined, but how we get there is up to us. But, if we aren't willing to take responsibility, the journey becomes robotic, code-driven, controlled. We become slaves to the process, instead of agents choosing our path to the eternal darkness.

> We all end up in the same place.
That doesn't mean we all lived equally.

The person who never dared to fly close to the sun, died the same as Icarus. Is it better to make a free decision and die after a moment of brilliance, or live a dull life following the rules of a slave?

>Rebels always have a cause.

But what is their effect?

I am ready.
