*Through the room you walked
and all turned to stare, 
hoping they'd be the one
you'd pull into your lair.
A sideways glance from you,
enough to stop a beating heart,
A glimmer of a smile
and again the beat would start.*

*There was a once upon a time, 
in a time that time forgot.
An end wrapped in a beginning
and a middle tied in a knot.
A universe of only two,
a million worlds of the whole.
A colliding of the masses,
A destruction of the soul.*

*Roaming forever far and wide,
Travelling without belonging.
Nowhere to lay a weary head,
no place to fill the longing.
A nomad and adventurer,
a romantic desire of the leering.
Living a life that others would,
If only not so fearing.*

*A thousand shards left in the wake,
wounding all who get too close.
Moving along many crossing lines,
Circling back to final throes.
Pacing through the shadowed streets,
where others fear to tread,                    
The object that all want to hold,
but none will ever bed.*

*Mystery surrounds the origin,
natural but not from here.
All together familiar,
but from well beyond our sphere.
Ethereal the loosed spirit,
Corporeal the golden cage.
From me you were stolen,
And for you war will rage.*
