While not set in stone, the rule of thumb is that 1 Steem is equal to approximately 2000 vests.  A Minnow is 500 SP = 1,000,000 vests. A Dolphin is 5000 SP = 10,000,000 vests. An Orca is 50,000 SP = 100,000,000 vests. I have no idea why crypto people like such unwieldy numbers, so to make it easier most look at them in MVs. 1MV, 10MV and 100 MV. > A whale is 500,000 SP = 1000MV = *a billion vests.* Here are my 97MV <center></center> oh oops.. *These are my vests:* <center></center> ## I decided to bite the fiat bullet and buy into Orca-hood. Perhaps Steem will drop more, perhaps not, but I may as well be using it in the meantime either way. I have been pushing hard on Steem for a very long time now, not just to earn, but to be part of the community and part of the ideas and decisions that lead the blockchain forward. While I don't have the loudest voice by a long shot, I like to pretend that over the last 2.5 years I have been able to influence a few things along the way - and hopefully in time it will lead on to better experiences for many people - and perhaps some better experiences have been created already. To get the additional funds together for a powerup at this point was a bit of a stretch, but I also believe in putting money where ones mouth is and find those that don't put skin in the game, rarely are those who I want to spend time listening to as without skin in, there are no consequences to what they say - no reason for them to even be honest to themselves. Well, that is that...
