While not the worst place by far, income inequality in Finland has taken a step back 15 years to return to the levels of 2007, after seeing modest closing of the gap for the last fifteen years. Of course, this is no surprise, considering that the last few years have been the most rapid shift of wealth from poor to rich at any point in history, compounded heavily by the financial mismanagement (totally planned) of the economy in response to Covid. Now, with inflation hitting the consumer that is already debt saddled, that gap is going to grow and keep growing.

Oh...

*Tiring, isn't it?*

I have been through a few bears in crypto and in the broader economy, but I feel myself being emotionally worn down emotionally at the moment. My head keeps saying to "stay strong and ignore the FUD" which is keeping me in the game, otherwise I might just give into the temptation of *giving up.* I really feel like this is part of a plan to break people's spirits to make them throw their hands up as if nothing can be done and then, double down on the "own nothing" drive that is being pushed at every turn by government and media.

And ultimately, very few of "us" are going to win, because the majority of us have already given in, already set ourselves up to be in a constant state of debt slavery for the entirety of our lives. And because the majority have succumbed, there is not much the minority will be able to do to fight back. The "can't shoot us all" approach won't work.

So instead, most people are now looking for ways to save costs, which makes sense, but is most likely too little too late for many. And, it seems that it is only when things become *very dire* that anyone thinks about making money instead, like getting a second job. There are jobs out there and in the service industry they are begging for people they can't find, yet people are choosing to hand wash dishes and not heat their houses instead. 

Granted, the thought of second jobs just to pay predatory price increases is not a welcome one, but why not take both approaches - save some, make some, instead? That way, whilst it might not be ideal, at least there might be a bit extra available to *buy the fucking dip* that is fast approaching in this economy, so that once there is recovery, there is the chance of inflated ROI. Those pennies put in at the bottom, make a significant difference at the top.

Look at that volume on Binance (BTC-UDST) over the last six months...

*Probably not.*

Just think, if the March 2020 low of about 4000 on BTC happens again, will you be buying? One and a half years later and that buy would have been an 18x gain on Bitcoin, more on Ethereum. Do you have any extra to invest into that event? 

This is always the problem for the bottoms - when they arrive, most of us have nothing to spend to invest into it and even if we have some extra, we are scared of getting in and losing more, because we have bills to pay too and we can't afford to wait a couple years for those gains, we need to eat and heat now. 

>Will I ever learn?

*I'd like to say yes,* but I am unsure. I never seem to time things correctly, renovating rather than saving, no economic availability when there is investment opportunity. Will I ever get the stars to align, or am I forever doomed to make the same mistakes over and over, just missing the opportunity for that life-changing windfall I have been working toward?

I really hope that in a couple years from now, I will be able to look back on these times and say, "I am glad I persevered" - but it might be touch and go as the grind gets untenable, impossible to maintain. "Hodling" onto the crypto is a byproduct of holding-out emotionally and physically, and *holding onto hope* through the downturns. It is a much harder game than many might suggest and in order to survive it and thrive after it, it requires the setup, the habits and the discipline to keep building or at the very least, maintain position, despite the IRL pains.
