So, this morning I left in darkness for the bus then onto the train for Helsinki, 2 hours away. I will be there for the day and get back to my city 12 hours after the start of the journey. While I bought all of my tickets and have apps for the metro journeys...

I picked up the wrong wallet and have no cards or cash on me. Nor did I eat breakfast or even have a coffee. Pity they don't take Steem as that wallet I do have.

Mobile pay is of course growing in popularity but I don't use it, haven't set it up and don't think I have the necessary information to do it on the fly. I sent a message to my colleague and she will shout me lunch - Does that make it a date? :D

One day crypto is going to solve the need to carry cash or cards but also give the flexibility to pay in the currency of choice. What I envisage is an exchange chain that services can run which processes many types of currencies in real time so that one can get on the bus or pay groceries with Steem, Ethereum or whatever. Free transactions would have a pretty large advantage wouldn't they?

What would be fantastic for some Steem users would of course being able to pay with votes from the inflation pool but I would have to think on that one a bit more as it throws in various issues most likely. 

Anyway, with a grumbling belly and no way to satisfy it, the train is pulling up to Helsinki station. One day, one day... Steem.
