Ho hum, just another day in paradise on the STEEM blockchain.

Does a $1B-$3B ICO catch your attention?  It should.  

That is what some are predicting the Telegram ICO will raise.  This has a chance to be one of the largest ICOs in cryptocurrency history.  

Why do I bring this up?

Because we are going to have Deegram.  This is a decentralized  version of Telegram being built on the STEEM blockchain.  

I hope that gets your attention like it did mine.

I am excited to see them promoting the idea of decentralization, something that is becoming a hot topic with the public over the data issue.  This makes the application attractive to more than just the crypto-nuts.

One of the most exciting parts of the introduction post is the fact they started the project with a team member who was working on an application on Ethereum.  As they progressed, once they found STEEM, that is where they decided to head.

I hope you all enjoy reading my posts because, quite frankly, I feel like I am beginning to sound like a broken record.

Another application coming to the STEEM blockchain that has the potential to really add value to this ecosystem.  Telegram become one of the more popular messaging applications yet Deegram seems like it will have even more functionality.  The introduction post talked about all the ways that it will filter out content that is not wanted to the user gets only what he or she desires.

Perhaps you’re not interested in Greg sharing 80’s glam rock, but you would like to see pictures of his pet and take inspiration from his great taste in movies and articles.

Naturally, this has the writing of SMT all over it.  If this application is successful, I can see the developers creating their own token for it.  This will be another in what is believed to be a long line of SMT projects on this blockchain.  

In going through the [website](https://www.deegram.com/), it looks professionally done.  It is very clean with all the information there.  Not only do they explain the project on the site,  but also what is STEEM, blockchain, and cryptocurrency.  It is imperative that we remember most of the world is not accustomed to any of this, hence further explanation is required.

The team has over a year into this project so it is not something they are just throwing together.  The screenshots look like they created a nice application that will be available on both Android and IOS.  This will give STEEM another mobile interface, something that is needed going forward.

What we really have forming is a suite of applications.  When looking at this, one might ask why Deegram if Telegram comes out with a token of its own?  Won't people just use that?  Not only is this a valid question, it is a common sense answer.  The reality is that most would not use Deegram with Telegram as a tokenized option in a head to head comparison.

There is, however, one difference.  With Deegram one also gains access to Dlive, D.tube, Dmania, Actifit, Steemhunt, Steemmonsters, Appics, and Steepshot.  As we see more applications on this blockchain, the ability to use the same user name and keys for all applications will come in handy.  There is no need to establish a multitude of accounts.  Plus, I presume, all the SMT protocol generated tokens will reside in the same wallet system.  

Is everyone starting to see the potential yet?

Each day we are seeing more development.  At this pace, even I am starting to be amazed.

Just give it another 6 months and our heads will be exploding.

STEEM is the place to be.
