I am in the process of developing some targets for [LeoGlossary](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-main-menu) in 2023.  This will be put together as a [post](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-post-hive) in a few days.

Personally, I believe LeoGlossary can be a major addition to [Leofinance](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-what-is-leofinance) and, in turn, Hive.  It is one of those projects that can pull this site up in the rankings while being an epicenter of information.  

At the present moment, the project is about 5 months old.  We have not been at this too long yet made great progress.  There are over 2,300 posts, most of which are individual terms.

We also saw a ton of links posted.  Without some proper tracking software, it is hard to know exactly where things stand.  There are, however, some pages with over 1,000 internal backlinks.  This is something that will really help in the long run.

For that reason, I decided to go back in time.

### Links On Older Content

There are a couple things that can be done.  For those who are around a number of years, it is possible to go back before the fork which created Hive.  This is a great place to start with one's posts.

The easiest way to do this is to visit [Hiveblocks](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-hiveblocks), enter your username and all the [data](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-data) for the [account](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-account) comes up.   Then, go to the oldest page, use CTRL-F (on Windows) and type in "Authored".  Simply scroll down to the yellow tabs, click on the post, and then view in one of the common front ends.

Now we have a post in [Peakd](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-peakd-hive), Hive.blog, or Ecency that can be edited.

Putting links in backdated content breathes new life into it. This causes the search engines to look at it as edited while also providing old links to LeoGlossary.

**This also provides the opportunity to replace Steem with Hive in the posts.**

Here is what it looks like.

Notice the date on the post.  This is from Nov 2017.  The links are clearly highlighted in the article, all relating back to [Leofinance.io](https://leofinance.io/).  Also notice in the first line where it says "Hive".  This was obviously long before this blockchain was in existence.

My personal goal for 2023 is to do this for all my posts.  Each will be updated and filled with the proper links.  It is a mammoth job but it will add both to the articles written along with adding more links for LeoGlossary.

### Commenting

We talk a great deal about [comments](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-comment-hive).  This is a natural way to enhance the process, especially if one does not have older content.

Here is an older post that I commented on:

Notice the date on it.  This was from May of 2017.  I can tell you that I went through to some articles going back to 2016.  There are a ton of posts that we can comment on.

Here is the comment that was left:

In this instance there were 5 links created.

Simple. Easy. Fast.

There are a number of times where I simply used the Hive link as the only one in a comment.  The key is to get "What is Hive" ranking with [Google](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-alphabet-google-financials).  It will be a challenge since that is a piece of software by Apache.  Either way, we can keep pushing.

We know there is a ton of content going back to 2016 that related to [cryptocurrency](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/cryptocurrency), [finance](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-finance), [blockchain](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/blockchain), and an assortment of topics that we can comment and link.

It takes a team effort.  This is a simple way to get some older links working.

And who knows, maybe we will wake up an old Hivean or two.
