[//]:# (!pinmapple 59.94706 lat 30.33430 long Summer Garden d3scr) I went to the art museum that day, and after visiting the museum, I didn't want to go straight home. Instead, I decided to take a little walk around the central city gardens - the Mikhailovsky Garden and the Summer Garden. Both gardens have a rich history, but this time I was not interested in the history, but in the opportunity to walk slowly through the quiet alleys and admire the scenery of early autumn. The day was warm and sunny. The beginning of autumn this year was wonderful, every day was like a gift. I walked through the Square of Arts to Mikhailovsky Garden, and for a while I just walked around, breathing in the complex aroma of autumn flowers and leaves, and remembering the paintings I had just admired. In Mikhailovsky Garden I took only one photograph, I took a picture of the Rossi Pavilion, built by the architect Carl Rossi in 1825. I continued my walk in the Summer Garden. The Summer Garden and Mikhailovsky Garden are close to each other, just cross the bridge. Despite the fact that autumn had already arrived, the fountains in the Summer Garden were still working and attracting many people who wanted to take pictures against the background of falling water. It's a common sight for a summer day, but in the very near future the statues and fountains will be closed so as not to be affected by the autumn weather. I stopped to take some pictures and felt someone tap me on the shoulder pretty hard. I looked around, but I didn't see anyone nearby. At that moment the wind blew harder and acorns started falling down from the tall trees. It turned out that I had stopped just under an oak tree! It was not a good spot:) I stepped out onto the Neva embankment and headed towards the Fontanka River along the simple, austere and beautiful fence of the Summer Garden. I was overtaken by a girl with a funny frog on her urban backpack. I tried to take a picture, but it is impossible to see the frog, it is too small. I took a couple more shots of the Fontanka panorama and went to eat ice cream - I thought it would be a great end to the cultural programme of the day. And here I could finish my story, but just a couple of days later I found myself on the bridge over the Fontanka again and took a counter shot - I photographed the same panorama, but from the other side. This day was also sunny, but cold and windy, so no ice-cream could stop me from closing the circle around the Summer Garden this time. I walked past the southern fence of the Summer Garden towards the Field of Mars. The northern fence, which I passed by last time, was created in the XVIII century, presumably by the architect Yuri Felten. The southern fence was created in the next, XIX century, and it is made in a different style. Despite the fact that it was already the beginning of October, the garden is still dominated by the green colour of the foliage, although the number of yellow and red notes has increased. This time I didn't turn off into the Summer Garden. Instead, I crossed the Swan Canal and walked along the wide alleys of the Field of Mars. The best time for a walk along the Field of Mars is late spring and early summer, when the lilac bushes planted along the alleys are in bloom. But such a walk is also pleasant in autumn. โ|โ ---------- | ---------- Smartphone | Google Pixel 3a Location | Saint Petersburg, Russia This is my entry for the #WednesdayWalk challenge by @tattoodjay.
