Direct in the manner of God

The Bible tells us in the book of Judges chapter 8.22 the request of the Israelites to Gideon to be their lord for having delivered them from the hand of Midian, but Gideon rejected the invitation given in one of the tribal assemblies to establish a monarchy because he supported the theocratic government, because Gideon was considered one of the heroes of the faith

Although Gideon wisely refused to serve as king of Israel, when he died, his son Abimalech got assassins to kill his brothers in the hope of taking the government into his hands, Jotam, his younger brother and the only one who could escape, climbed the Mount Gerizim and prophesied that a kingdom founded on sin would soon undo, and three years later, that same thing happened
Gideon understood that God wanted Israel to be a theocracy (God as king)

It is important to note that even though Abimalech had a natural charisma, he did not have the mind of God, nor was he appointed or anointed by Him
Consecrated leaders do things God's way, evil disqualifies a person for that type of charge
The leader who seeks to benefit himself, at the expense of others, is on the path of self-destruction, in contrast to his humble father, Abimalech was ambitious, he believed that the end justified the means
God judges leaders, not in terms of what they achieve, but in the way they do things.

Humility is the recognition of the importance of God directing in its own way and not in the way of man, it is the recognition that every good work and act of justice that we perform is a fruit of the action of God through ourenergetic expression of trust and faith
