Even thou it’s been about a week or so since the tron landed on the scene and swallowed up steemit it’s been an absolutely explosion of works that seem to be happening on the steem blockchain all of a sudden and that’s great news all around.

Of course I’ve got a few gripes about how things work on it but that’s ok because I was only posting on steemit from time to time and had moved over to esteem surfer — it’s a great interface but not sure it has community support in there yet, when it does I think I can use that full time.

So what does communities bring that we never had before? Well, the ability to have smaller tighter groups really, I think that’s pretty valuable because you can remix the content in them groups and put them in other places on the web — I’d love for instance to see some cool embed elements and RSS feeds on them for really sharing and spreading them around on the web.

I’ve had a landing page hivedontmind.com for a while that I want to revisit and I certainly want to find my ‘flow’ with the groups ideas — sometimes I just need to take a bit of time so I can circle back around again and see where my head was at — the max 150 group for instance, finding people I gel with and inviting them into the group, I’d love to work with some of those people in our recently setup @steemcasting DAO bot in our discord.

I think once people get fed up with centralised things getting hacked all the time they are going to be looking around for other solutions, especially when money get’s tight and the know they can invest a little bit of money into steem and get some SP to do some functions on the blockchain.

Communities feel like something that can be easily educated for as well, I think being able to step people through how to get into them, how to use them, what they can be used for, case studies, examples — it’s all stuff I can make some cool little video for.

Personally, I’m really looking forward to the next few months, let’s hope we all don’t get caught up in the coronavirus and they can start to get a handle on that, I mean you have to look forward to something right? Summertime, real corona in bottles with slices of lime ftw ;)
