Had a nice change of pace last night.

Kinda needed it too ya know, you get to that point where ya know your gonna need to have a little adjustment period to foster in new intentions and to put a flag in the sand and say ‘yep, that’s complete’ — the work kinda withered off in the third day but that’s ok, I got a stack done on my course and I’ll be finishing that today — I even lost where I was with that so that’s kinda gonna be a time surprise today to see how much I’ve actually recorded for that — I’ll be putting it on both platforms I think.

Anyway, let’s get into this super quick, ‘morning after the night before’ review of these beers we got into! :)

### INNIS & GUNN - ‘tropic like it’s hop’ passionfruit pale ale
I guess everyone is trying to get into this market place now and while they had a good go at it I’m just not sure a pale ale needs to taste ‘passionfruit’ — maybe they are going after a certain kinda client with the packaging over contents but it was ‘ok’ — I was not really feeling the flavouring but it wasn’t bad, certainly would not scoff at another but maybe not a first buy out of the batch.

### DEUCEBOX citrus double ipa by fourpure brewing
This was a beast, really intense flavour, everything felt amp’d up and double was certainly the name for it, 8.8% so kinda stronger than usual, slight aftertaste to remind you that it was stronger than the usual 4/5% and it came with a mule like hit, certainly BBQ weather, would be great with a steak sandwich and fries — think maybe two or three of these and I’d be comfy in the sun for sure.

### BROOKLYN NARANJITO Limited Release Orange Pale Ale
Out of all of them I was kinda surprised by this, tasted damn good for a pale, kinda unexpected, I preferred this over the innis gun passionfruit, passionfruit seems weird too me, so this ‘orange/naranjito’ was nice — would certainly order again but not the best of the bunch on the citrus style taste, certainly came across like we ‘better have a orange tasting kinda beer’ as well kinda experiment, dunno, feel Brooklyn beers are just on that power play push now, from obscurity to main stream loses it’s edge for me.

### BREWDOG CLOCKWORK TANGERINE Citrus Session IPA
This one was kick ass.  I’ve always liked brew dog stuff, punk ipa used to be my go to jam all the time on draft and I’d love to try this on tap as well if they have it.  Not sure what it is with the brew dog guys but they really put a lot of thought and experimentation into their brews, I really got that signature taste of tangerine in there, they could have said orange but they really nailed the note in this one — such a solid beer, I’d rather have four of these than the rest above, it was that good.

Alrighty, time to get the water, eggs and coffee life into me this morning again and get back to client work eh?
