welcome to month three (march) of 2020 — is your world like you expected it to be right now? I’m sure you might have had a whole different plan when we rolled over from 2019 into the new decade, I know I did, full of intention and plans — I still have them, they are just on backorder for now.

It’s crazy how much your own bubble of a life can get effected by the ripple of the outside world.  All the things you had planned, places where you wanted to go, people you wanted to hang with, sights and sounds, tastes and smells — all data for the human heart and electrically impulsive mind.

I’m glad in a way to see the back of feb, you really don’t need to be on constant emotion and passion duty about your decision making of what’s to do next but it’s been an exercise that I think will follow me into the years to come, I’ve certainly got a new perspective on what the start of a year now looks like for me as I get older and how I prefer to crossfade into years.

Because of the word ‘pandemic’ I’ve been extremely aware of my own mortality in recent weeks (I’m sure we all have to some degree) and the constant thing that keeps on coming up like a crossroads at the end of that film castaway is the ability to have choice over how you have a relationship with the broader outside world.

Mother Nature has seemingly been so angry with us all since the start of the year, heck, I’ve never in my life known a more complex set of circumstances like January 2020 brought about, it was like this crashing wave of bad news after bad news, pain, suffering, global doubt.  

Personally for me it’s been difficult to even form opinions about things, instead been transported back to considering my day to day activities and swapping ‘stacking’ of life needs for closer life experiences with loved ones, often marred with frustration of not having thing flowing smoothly - I truly believe as a ground sign you really feel the impact of the lungs of the planet as it sighs and tries to recalibrate before suffocating and bellowing out it’s distain at our presence in it’s eco system we exploited.

### living lives worth living

I expect a lot of people are caught in a freeze frame in their life right now, splicing together frames from one movie that daily plays out and trying at all costs to live out the full colour HD version of a life they assume or expect for themselves — chasing those often times cosmetic rainbows of wonderment.  

I even had a moment recently when I questioned if my life was any less contained that the notion of self isolation from this coronavirus.  If I was already living that way anyway.  Like a child squeezing through the gap in the fence and finding a whole in the wall into another world of clinking bottles and big open space, a world away from the one I know.  The sheer surprise that behind the canvas another place exists larger than mine.

But really I don’t want for anything if I truly search my materialistic catalog of aeroplane backseat magazines.  Really, I don’t need to feel the Italian leather of a sports car or the vastness of a house bigger than I need.  I’ve already indexed and stored what the sunshine on my face felt like on a sandy beach on planet earth and I’ll take that data with me when I enter the slipstream of a moonbeam transport outta here.

I wonder how many people question what a life is worth living for themselves right now as they see this pandemic spread — did you do the things every human should? Did you love, laugh, fall and rise, hear the cry and inhale of a baby taking their first breath in a world outside of a walled garden of security in the mothers womb.  

Living is not existing in this timeframe it’s experiencing the spoils and overloading the senses of the chemistry of the atoms around us, the delicate chaos that stays locked in time when we sleep and surprises us when we wake.  There is no bigger joy to know that others knew you were here at one time and your impression will be felt forever.

What I want is not always what I need.  But what I still need to have is to want to try on a daily basis, heck, hourly.  As the saying goes, you were born alone and you will die alone but hey, what a ride and journey between the two points right?

The universal lottery of time and we got to spend it like this, for a time, maybe not a long time, but we got to take our mainly water based meat sacks for a wander through the plush earth with it’s overwhelming beauty and structure, a habitat of plenty for us to co-exist within.  You, like me already have everything we ever really needed.

So be at peace, even when the outcomes don’t play out in your favour because you always had every part of the experience locked away in that little pulsating electrical switchboard up there.  Every process, running on it’s on codebase, just archived for a geo spatial unlock when you got to the place when it could compile, just for you.
