Learn About The Technology And Innovation Before Criticising.
False news and rumours spread faster than the truth. This is why it's so important that we seek knowledge and learn about anything new to us before joining the crowd to use, criticisize or judge whatever it is that appears to be an innovation. I felt like writing a post about this topic a couple hours ago when a family friend criticised crypto and many other technologies that have emerged in recent times. He talked about how he also felt like the crypto industry was valueless and is "the biggest scam of the century".

I'm not new to crypto critics and as a matter of fact, I love listening to them because they sometimes say somethings that may be beneficial in growing and developing the cryptospace. When cryptos first emerged, most people and even billionaire stayed away from this "valueless Internet money" because they didn't believe it had a future or utility and would die out sooner than most people thought. Fast forward to over a decade, the crypto industry has grown to be worth over a trillion dollars and is one of the fastest growing industry in the world with loads of developments and adjustments to make cryptos become one of the most important part of human existence.

I gave countless examples of technologies and innovations that were criticised by people who hadn't used them and people who simple spread false news and rumours that were passed to them. The internet for example was even called a product of voodoo because most people didn't understand the technology and stayed away from it in its early days. Now many people regret not tapping into the technology while it was still fresh and unknown.

It actually costs nothing to do our own research and learn about anything new to us. There are countless of materials on the internet and communities where people who have had first hand experience with these technologies and innovation would gladly share their experiences and guide us through our quest for knowledge.

As for cryptos, even though the first crypto was created over a decade ago, crypto is actually still in its early stages and it isn't too late to learn what it is truly about and the problems it solves.
