Earlier today, a colleague of mine who is a front end developer shared his experience with ChatGPT and talked about how ChatGPT wrote out the code built a login page for him and how it seemed like AI may eventually take over programming as well as it did with art and graphic design. Well ,so tried asking ChatGPT for some codes too today and the code i got had a bit of flaws and so here's my thought and opinion on this matter.

I don't think AI models like ChatGPT will displace developers, atleast not with the current stage of things. Like calculators and many other machines invented, I see A.I models as just a means to help developers work faster and make the process of building much more faster. Developing and building isn't as simple as it may appear from the outside and can't be left entirely for A.I models to handle. Some functionalities and interactions based on what a client wants or the intention of a developer would have to be implemented and only a human can do that.

Also, programming from the simplest types to the really advanced types like blockchain developing need humans to actually dictate how things go. Unlike many AI models like Midjourney AI that don't require any expertise from their users, a person with no knowledge of programming would find it difficult to handle the results they get from AI models and this is where humans lead. Even if AI models become perfect and make no mistakes, a person with actual knowledge of how coding and programming works is needed to create a balance. So I believe developers are actually safe and A.I models wont take their jobs easily as most people fear.
