Firstly, I gotta say there's no millenial that I personally know of that isn't currently involved in cryptos and secondly, less than 5% of those I know own mutual funds/ invest in the stock market.  A new survey in the US also showed that over 40% of all surveyed Americans have invested in cryptos which is quite large when compared to those who invest in stocks/ bonds or own mutual funds.

 The reasons for this however aren't far fetched because I personally share these reasons as well to some level.

The first and undisputable reason is that most Millenials have realised that investing in cryptocurrencies is truly one of the best ways to rocket anyone into financial freedom.  Yes, the crypto space is quite risky and the chances of failure and getting scammed is also quite high, but so are the chances of making a fortune which seems way higher. 

People get rich by investing in solid projects and growing with it for a couple years and some even rich by gambling on a couple shitcoins in the bull market.  These opportunity don't exists with mutual funds . We've seen what could happen by just sticking with cryptos for years and like the internet boom, it would be a bad idea to not wanna tap into this opportunity in its early phase at an early stage in life. 

Another reason most Millenials invest in cryptos is that many millenials crave the fancy life and want an early retirement.  I think everyone wants this though, but with millenials, the  hungry for it is at its peak. Cryptos could do that and so quite alot of people prefer it to mutual funds.

One other prominent reason is that investing in cryptos appears to be fast and swift these days. The procedure is decentralised ofcourse and one could invest from literally anywhere in the world at their own convenience.  No paper works needed, no reading of terms and conditions, no consultation of any sort (Actually these exist in the crypto world as well..but people really don't care)

Finally, most millenials invest in cryptos because they have nothing to lose. For example in my country, the system is already against the growth and development of the youths, like heck, Universities have been on strike for months, so as a young and vibrant person willing to risk it all for a better life, most people have turned to cryptos for opportunities. Even when they know its risky and they could lose everything they've invested, they stick to it because no one else would grant them that opportunity. 

Millenials are quite an easy group to target when it comes to investing cryptos but in the coming years, we would be having a massive percentage of cryptos investors in every age group as it would have created more opportunities for everyone.
