In a little cottage, the window could be seen flung open and a little girl of about eight years could be seen stretching and smiling.

She looked up at the sky and smiled widely as she leaned over the window frame. The sun wasn't fully out yet and the sky had a mix of orange and blue color. The flowers were opening up, the dew had wet the fields making them glow as the sun touched them and the breeze was cool and gentle.

Talia's eyes popped; she was lost in awe of the amazing work of nature. "It's a beautiful Saturday". She screamed and her voice echoed in her grandmother's well.

She was so excited because she was going to the big farm with her grandmother so she had to hurry. She climbed down from the window, got a bucket and drew water from the well which she used to wash herself and brush her teeth.

She felt satisfied and thankful as she set to climb the mango tree that stood in the middle of the compound like an expert. When she was up, she sat on a branch as she feasted on mangoes. When she was full, she got down and went to feed the chickens. She whistled as she put their feed before them and danced to the tune of her whistle. 

"The big farm has always been my dream place, you all know how much I love greenery and grammy told me that in the big farm, there are lots of big trees, fresh fruits and everything nice so today, I'll be going there". She spoke as if referring to anyone in particular as she danced her way back inside the cottage to find her grandmother.

"Grandmother, wake up! We have to go to the big farm today, remember!" She uncovered the duvet but found pillows under it. It was covered as if a human being lay inside it. Tears welled up in her eyes as she read the note on the bed. 

"Why did she leave me again this time but grandma you promised to take me there and I promised to be a good girl" she sobbed as she curled herself up on her grandma's bed.

Her grandmother who had been peeping at her all the while to see if the prank worked was so touched by her tears that she had to come out of her hideout. 

"Tally" she called her softly and Talia who could recognize the voice even in her dreams sprang up to her feet and hugged her. "Tell me it was just a prank grandma, tell me you didn't go to the big farm without me" she asked with tears in her eyes.

"Oh dear! I couldn't possibly go back on my words. Now child! Go put on something better let's go'' Talia wiped the tears off her eyes and dashed to her room to get a change of clothes. Her grandmother just watched her in awe.

In a few minutes she was ready. She spinned in front of her grandma to show her the dress she wore. "You look good my child we're set and please! Go grab the basket in the kitchen".

Talia got the basket and in it contained snacks, drinks and food. With a sweet look on Talia's face, she asked her grandma "Are we gonna have a picnic there too"? Oh poor child you have to take breakfast there and of course I want your visit to be a memorable one". They both smiled and Talia replied saying "**of course it is gonna be a memorable visit**".
