But enough of that!

I was looking through a pile of charity shop finds that were brought home and not sorted!

### Do you love books?

I do, I mean physical books! Well we were at the shopping centre a while ago, Mrs T went charity shop shopping whilst I had some work to do.

Once I finished then I went to find her. Well fluff me but I walked up and down and could not see her.

So I DMed her, and it turns it she was in the first charity shop that I went to. Unbeknown to me there was a wee corner that was hidden away from the main view.

She was in there, looking at books!

### 5 books for £1

I mean one pound or one dollar thirty.

How on earth could you not pick up 5... So five were quickly found!

### Everyday British 🇬🇧

I like the serendipity of the first one, we often shop in British Heart Foundation charity shops so this book about heart healthy food from another charity shop seemed a no-brainer!

Although I am a Chemical Engineer I don't do recipes! I prefer to just look at something and then do my own take on what I feel would be right!

Apparantly it works, so why on earth change the habit of a lifetime! 

Next up is another cookery book ...

### Slow Cooker

We have a slow cooker and the only thing it gets used for is to make the chilli pinto beans whenever I make them.

So why not, flick through and get some interesting ideas.

The one thing about the internet, for me anyway is that I see something and forget about it. For that, you cannot beat a physical printout or a book!

**Two good books and I have picked up some fluffing interesting ideas already.**

Now even though we downsized and have moved umpteen countries we still love plants, but now we don't have nearly as many as we have done in the past.

When Mrs T saw this next book, she grabbed it!

The reason being it was, if not the very first book she bought in the UK when she came here. Over the course of our moves it has been given away, so she squealed like a wee school girl and so we had 3!

Next up and staying on the houseplant theme.

This is another book that we have owned before.

I did comment as to why Mrs T needed them. I can cook and in the same way she has a green thumb, all our houseplants thrive. I am sure you have seen me bringing home wayward plants that we have rescued from the rubbsh dump.

To which she replies that is where she gets her green thumb knowledge from!

Fair enough, I know when not to push a point🤣

### Saving the best till last

When I said I don't do recipes ... that is fine for cooking, but when it comes to baking, nah I need a fluffing recipe!

So this book seemed ideal.

Have your bread prices been increasing? Ours seem to really have gone up when flour prices increased thanks to bawbag Putin and his hampering of Ukraine's grain supply.

So it was good ***food for thought*** as to whether I would make our bread again.

A quick flick through and my mouth was salivating....

However the next random page flip took meright back to my childhood and got me thinking about #silverprompts for the Silve Bloggers community....

### My favourite pudding when I was a kid .... Rhubarb Crumble and custard!

When I was at boarding school, sometimes I would spend the weekend with my grandmother here in Fife. I used to cut rhubarb in her garden, and then we would make a rhubarb crumble!

### Talk about bringing back some Magical Monday Memories.
