The Big Yin and his wellies - a wee bit of Scotland for Three Tune Tuesday Week 47
## Hello Hello Music Lovers of the Hive

Today is Tuesday and that means it is #ttt or Three Tune Tuesday 🎼
This is Week 47 in the music initiative from @ablaze and I waited to see if he had a theme this week, before I posted. His post is [here](https://peakd.com/hive-193816/@ablaze/my-irish-party-pieces-for-three-tune-tuesday-week-47) and he choose three Irish party pieces, so I thought I would do something similar from Scotland.

***

First up is Andy Stewart who was a Scottish comedian from last century.

This song "Donald, Where's Your Troosers?" was written by Andy Stewart and Iain MacFadyen and was first released by Andy Stewart in 1960.

### Tune 1 - Donald Where's Your Troosers?- Andy Stewart

The second tune is more often heard sung by non Scots, and was originally written by Tennessee singer/songwriter Mike Cross, in 1981.

The full version is a raunchy ballad, but this version with a couple of verses missing has become a bit of a folk staple, covered by countless folk singers.

I choose this recording as the wee skit by the girls and "Drunked Scotsman" was quite funny!

### Tune 2 - The Drunken Scotsman

When we talk about folk songs and comedy in Scotland, then I have to include **The Big Yin, Billy Connolly** himself. His early shows were as much music as they were comedy and this one is one of his classics, he often performed it wearing great big yellow banana boots or wellies.

### Tune 3 - The Welly Boot Song - Billy Connolly

So there we have it readers, I hope you enjoyed these three totally different tunes in keeping with the tunes from @ablaze today!
