A Standardized Message For Those Using The Steemit.com User Interface To Downvote Content You Dislike Or Think Is Overvalued
Below you will find a simple message that you can use when you want to respectfully downvote a particular post, but may not at all think the author is bad or even that the content itself is bad content. This message is meant to make downvoting on the **STEEM blockchain** appear less agressive for users of the **Steemit.com user interface**.

Treatment of downvotes (on Steemit.com unfortunately still displayed as flags) may vary widely between the rising number of front ends. I would suggest you uphold any contractual agreements you've entered into and adhere to all guidelines provide by the particular front end that you are using to access the blockchain.

>I respectfully disagree with the rewards given for this post.

>Personally I can not see why this post should be valued at [[MENTION PRICE OR ANY OTHER RELEVANT MEASSURE OF REWARD HERE]], so I will "downvote" it (unfortunately still misrepresented by a flag icon on Steemit.com).

>This does not necessarily mean that I don't value your content. It is also only meant as a gesture towards the content itself, not at all to be taken as personal towards the user posting and since I hold very little power on this platform it is very unlikely to harm the user him or herself.

>More information about my voting patterns can be found in my profile description. Please don't let this minor speedbump keep anyone from posting what You consider to be great content!

- For extra clearity, you can put this line in your user profile: " I downvote ('flag') based on the guidelines in Steemits UI "

- Should users of the Busy.org user interface want to communicate this same stance to the userbase of Steemit, they may choose to include the same line. But they may also disregard it entirely, as they are not contractually obligated to adhere to any specific guidelines or rules presented within the Steemit user interface.

I'm looking forward to seeing a better solution for downvotes ("flags") on Steemit.com, as has already been announced for Busy.org, in the near future.
