# <center>  Drop in The Ocean. Ambiguity </center>

  </div> <div class="text-justify"> The Drop in the Ocean show from Buddy Up community has rolled around again. That means Monday is here and the week begins again. Actually my week is half over cause I start my week on a Thursday. This way I am not exhausted by the time the weekend starts. 

The Drop in the ocean show begins at 8 PM UTC. Everyone is welcome to join and the show typically lasts 60 minutes to 90 minutes. The word this week is *Ambiguity*. Write a composition about the word ambiguity and what your interpretation of the word is or means. You can present your post at the show in the discord server.

<center> Ambiguity </center>

So what does Ambiguity mean?
Breaking the word down at first glance, I have no bloody idea. Straight of the bat, I read the word Am, So it must be a person thing. I think therefore I am type of thing, Okay so it is an Am that thinks, Maybe. 
Then we have Big that follows the Am. I Am Big. Still making sense so far, But the uity thing I am what the,,,, oh wait, Maybe the second word is not Big but it is Bi. So Am Bi Okay that makes no difference cause I have no clue what Guity means either. Maybe it could be GUI like graphic user interface. Am Bi Graphic User Interface. This only leave the TY left to figure out.

I should find a different way to look at this word, Maybe open a dictionary.

doubtfulness or uncertainty of meaning or intention:

Ah, well that fits in perfect with today's climate on Steem. The doubtfulness in what people say. Over the last year I have watched various people come to chats for brief periods and pimp their projects. Over an over again the community jumps behind them. This is a great idea, this would be great for so so. This might enable us to do X. Then they disappear and I hear nothing about the project again, New drama will come up and Hey! presto, another great project for us all to get behind.

I hear the words being said. I also hear a whisper that those words carry along with them. Whispers that suggest some grabbing for position or (interpretation only) putting an effort into getting a friend into position over the welfare of the platform.

My own opinion is there should be no Witness or Whale involved in the final council body decided upon to represent the community. The people in those positions already have things going on to keep them busy. An extra load of work will mean something will suffer on some side. A high stake or an ability to not put through a proposal on the chain because of the effects it may have on personal income or asst building, should be avoided when ever possible and avoid ethical conflicts by an individual.

If we look at things slightly different, is a witness essential to the platform. I mean in the current time. How much value does a witness actually have. I am sure there are companies out there who could perform the tasks of a witness on a set fee per annum. Dev's could develop their Dapp's Put them on a Steem poll, and if a % of the active population voted them in, The Witness companies who are contracted can implement the changes. Poor performance on keeping nodes up and servers running obviously result in loss of contract. This would add more to the reward pool as we increase the value of Steem/SBD.

Maybe, the accounts that will operate in the new support system could also be employed positions. Not owners of an account. What if these accounts were made paid accounts. People worked in those accounts with guidelines set out by the community for rules or regulation. Any abuse of the account privileges would result in termination of rewards.  

Fact's are facts. Even when there is no central authority or no governing power, We still need to agree. The key points people feel need to be agreed upon are wide and varied. One thing that should be steadfast to them all is sustainability.
