Mistakes I learned to avoid after this weekend ranked results!

Hello everyone

The intensity in weekend ranks is clearly rising, thus making the game even more exciting and making each and every match a challenge by itself!
The adrenaline in every match is superb and keeping me on the edge of my seat especially with the aim of getting at least 15 wins for a legendary pack.

Unfortunately, this way did not go as intended for I was able to get only 13 wins. Reasons for this vary between some lacks in my deck, some mistakes I did and unfortunate matchups or hands cause well this is an RNG game and luck plays a big role in it.

So in this post I will be sharing the Deck I used, and talking about some mistakes I did and improvements I could have done to it to make it even more effective and capable of getting much more wins. So let's jump into it!

# Deck I used

![deck.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmQMYcggc61RSCfaCaSqGhFp8cDsREJ2tiyBtAT2eG219M/deck.jpg)

So this week I decided to go back to nature. It has been a while since I played nature decks despite having the most matches with nature between all gods, but I drowned in the hype of trying different gods for a while.

So the deck was a mid range deck with some late game creatures in case the game went on a bit longer to be able to seal the deal in it and finish it.

Now there were some card I could have added and I think it would have made the deck a lot better and this is one of the mistakes I did is not adding them in the first place despite being obviously so good:

# Cards I should have added

### Sage of Renewal

![Sage.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmP3hmr6eNmD5wyT9Q933TpTHGBrq3tUJ8qBRG8mwnTB68/Sage.jpg)

Now this card have huge use rate after the rework and it is for a reason. She became so strong in this patch and can change a game upside down. The 4 mana worth of spells of *your choice* can literally save you in a lot of situation on top of being 6/6 with 2 regen.
My fault was not buying her and adding her despite being somewhat cheap so this is definitely a must add for nature at the moment.

### Another Falling Stars

![falling.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmUwTBp9V462qgiMpw5wujxEkfgJF35ko198AtzNU9aZAZ/falling.jpg)

Even after the nerf, the 6 burn and the 3 creatures you get on board for 5 mana is so useful and can help you get rid of annoying creatures a lot of times. If early game did not go so well you might struggle if the opponent threw in a strong creature so having 2 of this card can get you out of such tight spots.

### Enchanted Vines

Running one of this card alongside the hunt can be more efficient since sometimes the opponent know you have the hunt so he stacks some HP with several creatures. This one can serve you well to clear in this situation where the hunt can. As well as giving you a random nature card!

# Some mistakes I did

### Wasting spell's worth

![spells.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmNTDPfp5NhhvzZyCFnSFs6hxcsHzMQdEL1xnCM7BtYKHQ/spells.jpg)

This mistake I made several time. I do not know if it is either because of not playing nature for a while or just dumb moment :p. So basically nature have a lot of good spells.*Lightning strike, canopy, the hunt ect*. In some situations I used them on creatures I did not have to when I could have done it on stronger ones and getting more value.

So save them for creatures who deals more threat and keep in mind what the opponent might hold in his deck. Do not waste a canopy on a Wild board for example. Unless he was buffed that is a while different story of course. Think about it first if there is a better way to get through it without spells and how much of a threat it is if you did not!

### Not taking a break

![meme 1.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmckDrBk3v9qW2zvDp1L9DufeuiBQQHQUcCGu9f4pQBbWj/meme%201.jpg)

The second mistake I did was not taking breaks when I was losing. Now this one has huge effect on your win rate. First of all when you get more frustrated, you might make bad plays that might cost you the match so it is better to rest for a while.

Second of all sometimes the RNG gods just are not on your side so it is better to stop for a little bit then continue after a while! I know it might be very frustrating to lose 2 games and then stop for a while for some people. I mean I am one of them. But I noticed when I feel like this it effects my win rate very well to just stop for a while and then continue after!

# Conclusion

This week was definitely not a great one for me. The results I got were not very bad in general for me, but it is not what I wanted and I know it is not what I am capable of getting.

However, we all have bad weeks and not every player will always get the same wins as he want or can so I am definitely going to implement improvements on myself and get better results in the upcoming weeks!

Hope this deck can help anyone, I know it is a classic one so similar to many other as nature has a lot of variations of the same archetype but still an effective one I would say with these changes.

So hope you liked it and I wish everyone will have the wins he wanted this weekend and the best of luck on their packs! That was it for this post and I will see you on the next one.

Mad Love, Peace out <3
