<div class="text-justify">How many Time Zones are in the "Lower-48" / Continental US? Three? or Four?<p> </p> At the moment, there would appear to be three! At the top of the past hour (2:00 AM EDT), the east coast of the US switched from Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) to <b>Eastern Standard Time (EST)</b>. Therefore, it is 1:20 AM right now in over half of the country.
