I couldn't help but talk about how Bitcoin just keeps creeping up nowadays. Yes, it has been nice to witness your investments growing but we do miss the thrill moments of the past. Every time I look at the charts it's the same, trends more similar to a grandpa's stock picks than the wild world of crypto that I fell so head over heels in love with. A bit higher here, a bit lower lower there, and I feel dozing off while checking my portfolio.

Scrolling through my crypto apps is like browsing reruns. I see the same altcoins mirroring one another's capabilities with the same 'paradigm shifts'. My Twitter feed, which used to be filled with wise germs, now offers me the same tired memes and lukewarm opinions. I have actually muted around 50% of the crypto influencers I once followed, they all sound like each other anyway.

Now I recall that enchanted moment I would wake up in the morning to discover that some random coin had risen 1,000%. My phone would leap off my table from the buzzing texts from my crypto buddies discussing the next big thing. The energies were contagious. Now when I glance at my crypto apps, I see an unsettling serenity that seems abnormal.

NFTs came and went and left behind empty platforms and broken dreams. I have tried to get hyped about DeFi protocols and Layer 2 solutions but honestly these tech advancements feel empty without a community behind them.

Not that I have given up on crypto. I still believe in the tech and follow development news. But I just can't help but feel we are in a downtrend. Every market move feels predictable and every release of a project feels like I have already experienced something similar before.

Maybe this is just the way of mass adoption. Maybe I'm just pining for the free-wheeling wild west era of crypto. I used to be checking my crypto apps every hour, worried that I would miss something amazing. Now, I forget to check prices for days or even weeks at times. Honestly, nothing ever really seems to change anyway.

The greatest part of it all is that most of us used to need multiple monitors and price alerts just to keep up. Today, a weekly quick glance at your portfolio gives you everything you need. That's how far things have come.

Crypto has become stagnant and I never believed that day would come. I am aware that this cycle will be over soon but currently, I am just waiting for whenever excitement resumes in the space that once kept me up late at night.
