Ever since childhood days, I have learned to be self-reliant and self motivated. I have never felt overwhelmed by life situations to the extent that I feel like giving up. I learned to fight those negative feelings by simply acknowledging the fact that there is no one out there who can help me out. I pick myself up whenever I fall without waiting for anyone to show me how to get up and keep going. That was my childhood. It was not a good experience in childhood, but it was an experience in learning which taught me many things about life and survival.

The harsh reality of loneliness shaped me into my present self. Each fall became a lesson, each solitary moment a building block of strength. While others had hands to hold, I had determination as my companion.

Now, as an adult, those childhood experiences have become habits that are unconsciously ruling my behavior both in pleasant times and in down times. When you grow up as an orphan without having anyone who cares about your existence, you learn how to survive in the jungle called life by all means. And having such an attitude towards life makes me self-reliant and self motivated.

These survival instincts are now deeply embedded in my DNA. Every challenge I face triggers that same resilient response I developed in my youth. The orphan's mindset became my superpower - turning isolation into independence.

Life can never be a smooth ride, there are always good times as well as bad times. Just as you are good and motivated in good times, you should also learn how to manage the bad times, to carry your heads up and tell yourself this too shall pass. I am a self motivated person, I don't wait for anyone to cheer me up before rising from my point of failure. When life is overwhelming and it looks like giving up is easier than to continue, I remind myself of the reason why I started out on what I wanted to give up on. If the reason for starting was worth it, there is no reason for giving up because of a bump on the road.

Life is like the waves of the sea that rise and fall. Each problem is temporary, and each difficulty is a chance to prove what I built as I’ve handled things on my own.

This morning I woke up and was drenched with negative thoughts and I began to feel so down about everything. Crypto trading lost me money, so it felt like all my plans were a failure. On top of that I was stressed at my daily responsibilities as a man and wanted to give up. And the more I considered all of this, the less certain I was that I would make it through my day. It's Sunday and I didn't even want to attend church. Then, there was a voice inside me that was strong and said 'be yourself, think positive,' and that’s the way I needed to push myself.

My most trusted guide is now the voice inside me, the voice brought to me by my past hardship. It got me through lonely nights and uncertain times, and it still takes me as I face challenges as an adult.

The final thoughts from my heart recharged me and got me moving again like a switch. I began to be thankful for the things I have rather than losses or something else. That negativity of my problems and life began to go away. I really think positive thinking helped me to turn things around and provided me with the hope I needed to have each new day and look forward to a better future.

This is not just the change of the mind, but the change of the inner power which I have built up during lonely childhood years. Past experiences become a strong foundation and each good thought contributes to it, making a mental shield strong enough to withstand the small problems. An orphan who had to be strong as a child, has grown into an adult that understands that every challenge brings new chances if faced with a positive attitude.
