Steemit Inc recently turned off steemd.steemit.com and it is affecting a lot of things.  If you are using Steem-python and the scripts are no longer working, you want to do this:

`steempy set nodes https://rpc.buildteam.io,https://api.steemit.com,https://steemd.minnowsupportproject.org`

This will change the default nodes used for Steem-python.  You should also use custom nodes in your scripts.  I typically use this.

```
from steem import Steem
steem_nodes = ['https://api.steemit.com',
               'https://rpc.buildteam.io',
               'https://steemd.minnowsupportproject.org']

steem = Steem(nodes=steem_nodes)
```

This will allow steem to automatically use all three nodes.  You can add and remove whatever nodes you want.  

One of the popular scripts for updating witness price feeds uses Steem-Python and I [wrote a post](https://steemit.com/witness/@themarkymark/fix-witness-price-feed-if-using-conductor) for fixing your price feed.
