In 2008 and early 2009, stocks fell around the world. Housing fell in many places too. After trillions of dollars of stimulus were pumped into the markets, they inflated assets back to life. In 2018, we saw many examples of stocks or indicators falling to levels which we haven’t seen since the Financial Crisis. Despite record levels of intervention, there is no possible solution to the problems we face today. Papering over the issue creates massive distortions which are sure to creating an even bigger crisis next time around.
