Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a subsidiary of Amazon offers to individuals and corporate cloud services. The company announced Thursday, April 19 the establishment of a "quick and easy way" for the deployment of blockchains-based networks Ethereum or that of Hyperledger.

According to the announcement, the idea behind this initiative is to allow developers to focus on creating applications based on a blockchain rather than the establishment of blockchain said. This project is basically a way to catalyze the creation of applications by offering blockchain solutions "turnkey" .

Amazon provides two models Blockchain AWS, one for Ethereum and the other for Hyperledger . They can be deployed in two ways:

    Via instances Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) that provide the computing capacity required for the deployment of blockchain;
    Via the Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS) : This service allows to manage multiple Docker containers on a cluster, including EC2.

The Ethereum network access to resources is provided by the Virtual Network Service Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) , to manage access control lists. The granular permissions based on them on the authentication service AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) .

The opening of this service is a big step in the democratization of blockchains protocols. Amazon as a global leader in e-commerce is one of the major players whose position on these new technologies was eagerly awaited. It is not yet accepting Bitcoin as a payment means, but you never know, it could also be announced soon.
