I promised to post AI variations of my drawing - finally doing so. This was the original post of my drawing: [UNTITLED GRAPHITE DRAWING - MARCH 2025](https://peakd.com/hive-156509/@thermoplastic/untitled-graphite-drawing-march-2025)

“Surrealism is destructive, but it destroys only what it considers to be shackles limiting our vision.” ― [Salvador Dali](https://www.goodreads.com/author/show/165858.Salvador_Dal_)

---
on this one I just ran the prompt only to see how it works

---
With the 'Flux Schnell' model, this was perhaps the most bizarre result
To recall what the seed image was, my original drawing, simply called UNTITLED from my post a month ago:

Without a doubt, my original drawing is much better, as well as it has more interesting details than AI can produce. The 'tricks' I use with my drawings cannot be reproduced with AI, just as it cannot reproduce Decalcomania styles in painting. Bottom line is: 'real' artists have little to fear that AI can replace them. In my estimation, AI has access to billions of images, but only the mind of a toddler. It is very much dependent on a human to steer it in the right direction.
However, the results I got in these examples are for me starting points to create analog variations. Instead of wasting time and oodles of paper sketching, I create ideas with AI that I might be able to work with analog, or even paint. Clicking through many different models, which have certain parameters built in that makes them unique, plus changing prompt strength and noise, makes for the variations. What works, I keep, what doesn't, I delete.
Of course writing a prompt that works well takes some practise.
Here is the prompt I used for all of them - and as you can see by the one example without a seed image, it can produce quite different results:

*Surreal Fantasy Drawing by the Mystic Otto Rapp under the Influence of Ernst Fuchs, H.R. Giger and Beksinski, graphite and charcoal on paper, detailed work, psychedelic, decalcomania style of Max Ernst, cryptid taxidermy in Bogomils Universe*

In fact, running it again with Flux Schnell and selecting a different format, I got this result, which even gave me a pencil:

If some sharp eye spotted a signature bottom right, this is just a failed attempt by AI to sign my name - most AI models are rather poor with spelling and fonts. In this case, it may have deduced my name from the prompt.
I hope you enjoyed my presentation

Maybe you want to try Nightcafe out, here is a link
https://nightcafe.art/u/TheMystic
the basic account is absolutely free.
---

Visit my website
▼

PRINTS OF MY ARTWORK AVAILABLE HERE:

Bonus Special: PSYCHEDELIC TRIP

https://youtu.be/dfmuDX2t7fs?si=hR0LOEa_ch5kdPPN

[MY INTRODUCTION - ABOUT MY WORK](https://peakd.com/introduceyourself/@thermoplastic/about-my-work) [](https://peakd.com/introduceyourself/@thermoplastic/about-my-work) should you not be on the blockchain, or have no upvote power, or this post is already older than 7 days, you can always just [buy me a coffee](https://www.buymeacoffee.com/artofthemystic).

Final Words of wisdom and a pet concern of mine, especially about art diplomas:
I had in years past come across quite a few 'fake diplomas' that pretend to be academic credentials. Next to '[Pay to Play Galleries](https://medium.com/@michalplis/exploring-ethics-of-pay-to-play-galleries-in-the-art-world-31393dc0b42e)' they are the scourge to be avoided.
