This was at a time when the world was under lockdown due to the pandemic, and he got his hands on it first on August 30th, 2020. He seized this chance with both hands and held onto the title like he had a divine right to it.

Admittedly, I haven’t always liked Roman Reigns. For a while there we felt that they were trying too hard to make him work with us even if we didn’t want him to. 


However, boy oh boy has his game changed for good? In fact, his Tribal Chief character is so dominantly powerful that you cannot help but admire him for his achievements, though a heel.

It was not just about winning all the time. It was about lifting up every other man in the whole lot of them.

are some of such names who have challenged Roman’s place in main event matches. 

Even Logan Paul who is not an official part-time wrestler had a go at him on one occasion or another.




Few and far between as the losses of Roman may be, they don’t seem like the end of the world for competitors. 

They still come out appearing strong by interference from Bloodline. 

They have something to protect them from being buried which is quite a clever feat for me.

Right now with WrestleMania 40 around the corner there is an air of expectation awakened. 

We have a stacked main event scene with people like Cody Rhodes ready to step up and take over. And it has all been courtesy of Roman Reigns and his incredible reign as Universal Champion.

However, there are some jitters on whether or not Roman will continue as champion until WrestleMania. 

But either way, his legacy has already been carved in stone. He reshaped WWE for the next decade, and I am only grateful that I was there to see it.

Roman Reigns’ championship reign as Universal title holder has meant more than just winning matches at last. 


It’s been about bringing up the entire industry and giving opportunities to talents that might not otherwise have had them.
