### Today, I had probably one of the worst days of my life. This is an issue which many might find embarrassing to discuss or whatever but I feel like there are a lot of people suffering from this on a daily basis and I can help with my own experience. https://images.pexels.com/photos/551588/pexels-photo-551588.jpeg?w=940&h=650&auto=compress&cs=tinysrgb **So, what I am talking about is actually constipation.** Normal and as in my case, a really horrendous, excruciating version of it. When it's the usual constipation you are not able to get bowel movements properly so you cannot, well, go. That's a bit uncomfortable yes and you can start feeling a bit dizzy, nauseated and irritated. When you don't attend to this in time, it takes the shape of something very horrible. And that is what happened to me today. I could spare you the details but I will not because you need to know what's coming for you if you do not take care of these small things( which are actually quite big). https://s3.amazonaws.com/livesmart-images/culture/en-US/articles/NaturallyDealingwithConstipation/Constipation.jpg https://www.beyonddiet.com/articles/naturally-dealing-with-constipation/ This morning I was in a meeting and after two days of not being able to go, I finally felt the pressure that I need to go and poop. I was really happy obviously! And then right as I felt the full pressure of my body trying to excrete it out, it decided not to go out and get stuck in the rectum. It was like being in labor where your body wants to kick something out with full pressure and that thing just gets stuck mid way and gives you that crazy ass pain and suddenly a need to throw up started to arouse. So that happened and stayed like that for several hours. I felt like I was going to pass out. That is when I decided to google the shit out of it and discovered several things! What are the main causes of constipation? You can find this on many websites so I won't bore you. **What caused it in my case, just like most of the cases was the significant reduction in my water intake.** I lost my water bottle a few days ago so now every time I get thirsty at work I have to get up and go to the water tap which makes me lazy and then I don't drink as much water. Other than this, I was eating a lot of flour containing things. Believe me when I tell you this, flour is a thing which is delicious but it will fuck you up in ways you cannot imagine. #### Coming to the main reason I wrote this article? To tell you real legit ways that worked for me and my family to deal with this problem (yeah, apparently runs in my family. Guess we all suck in that sense): ***A. Lukewarm water*** https://images.pexels.com/photos/161425/water-glass-heat-drink-161425.jpeg?w=940&h=650&auto=compress&cs=tinysrgb Drinking crap load of water is really necessary anyways, it detoxifies you, keeps your digestion going good among a thousand other things. But in what form to take it once you are already suffering from it? Start drinking lukewarm water slowly and sip by sip till you start feeling a pressure. Lukewarm water will kick start your bowel movement and at the same time will help soften your stool aka poop a bit. Adding a bit of lemon juice to the warm water is even better. ***B. Castor Oil*** .jpg) *This is the one that I used* This is what works in cases like mine and basically any constipation case really. It is an excellent laxative and it works relatively quickly as compared to other laxatives. Depending on the seriousness of the situation you can vary the doses. I got the above box, and on the instructions you read that you can take 5-20 pills a day depending on the person and your situation. I calculated each pill has about only 0.5 ml of castor oil and you can go up to 15 ml in case of some serious constipation. I took like 13 pills. And they worked within 3 hours and it really really helped me pass the shit out. It was painful but it happened at once. ***C. Fiber (Apples and Bananas)*** https://images.pexels.com/photos/162806/apple-fruit-fruits-delicious-162806.jpeg?w=940&h=650&auto=compress&cs=tinysrgb https://images.pexels.com/photos/41957/banana-fruit-healthy-yellow-41957.jpeg?w=940&h=650&auto=compress&cs=tinysrgb I mean, whoever wrote ***"An apple a day keeps the doctor away"*** was crazy genius. Apples are considered one of the natural ways to treat and prevent constipation. The soluble fiber present in its skin and other essential compounds provide a laxative effect on the hard stools and enables them to move easily through your digestive system. http://homeremediesforlife.com/apple-for-constipation/ Bananas (not the raw ones though) also contain fiber (pectin), which draws water from the intestines toward the stool. I had an apple today as well among all the other things and I really feel like it helped to a certain extent. So if you eat it regularly you should have no problems ever with your bowels acting like a lil Bitch. I'm at ease now. And if there is anyone out there facing this real shit of an issue try the above three things and I swear it'll help you. Many a times we don't focus on things like hydrating ourselves enough or getting proper physical exercise or eating at right times and then one day suddenly our body attacks us and by that time it's too late. So start paying attention amigos. And have a happy colon, among other things. **Was this post disgusting? Well too bad because I needed to get it out. See what I did there? Lol. Kay.
