Before the steps on making it let us know, what is Mandala Art?

A mandala is a a spiritual and ritual symbol in Hinduism and Buddhism, representing the universe. In common use, "mandala" has become a generic term for any diagram, chart or geometric pattern that represents the cosmos metaphysically or symbolically; a microcosm of the universe.

A mandala art is an art on abstract design that is so complex with patterns that is usually circular in form. In fact, "mandala" is a Sanskrit word that means "circle". Mandalas generally have one common point which is the center point., from which shows an array of symbols, shapes, forms and patterns.

Mandala art can contain both geometric and organic forms. They can also contain recognizable images that carry meaning for the person who is creating it, so It can also show you the way of living of the creator of this art.

In essence, mandalas represent the connection between our inner worlds and outer reality. Making and creating your own mandalas can be both inspirational and therapeutic.

CREATING YOUR OWN MANDALA

When creating a mandala take it as a way of expressing your inner self or your soul and as you make it, think of all your achievements in life, happiness, your wish and just let your heart do the task because when you love something, amazing things happen.

Let us get started.

MATERIALS NEEDED

The first step is to find the center of your paper. Make it square so you can easily find its center.

Step 2 :

Step 3:

Measure out another distance from the center-point. You can choose the distance you like, remember that it is your own art and you can do what you want. You can continue making as many rows of these dots as you like.

note: It is important to make sure that the dots you make are all equidistant from the center-point.

Step 4:

Let your heart do the art and make your own pattern. You can add lines that is parallel or intersecting to each other, another way is to use curves forming petals.
Remember: The more detailed your madala is, the better.

Step 6 :
Use the pen(s) to highlight your mandala outline and to give it a more strong look.
