Mindful eating is the process of paying close attention to your eating habits and the needs of your body. But sometimes the health is not so much about what you eat, but you eat like. And more importantly, what is the difference between diet and lifestyle?

**5 Eating Habits for a Healthy Lifestyle:**

***Eat a smaller portion*** - You do not have to cut your meal size by half or even buy smaller plates. The most important thing is just know how much you eat and often ask yourself "Would eating a little more will satisfy me more?" You might be surprised at how often the answer to this question is yes. The key here is to not restrict yourself, but instead pay attention and monitor.

***Drink plenty of water*** - Water is a natural appetite suppressant.. By leaving at least 2 liters of water a day, you will never lose water and get rid of uncomfortable headaches. It helps to have a bottle of drinking water per liter to always keep with you at your desk or around the house. Drinking water before and after meals also helps you eat less and feel fuller.

By following these tips as a daily routine, you can ensure yourself a healthier and happier lifestyle without restrictions or guilt. But does this involve dieting? The simple answer is no. The biggest difference between a diet and a lifestyle is you, and what you perceive these two things to be in your personal life.

- A diet seems like a boring job and a forced effort. In general, that is something you do not want to do but you have to do. A diet is very easy to become a punishment yourself because it is not the weight, size or shape desired.
- A lifestyle is the way you live each day. It's a habit of how you chose to live. Sometimes it becomes tiresome, but it is worth it because your life is already sliced. Choice of career, food, friendship, purpose and aspirations all come under lifestyle.

So, instead of living every day on a diet - live every day to your fullest whilst having the deepest understanding of your needs and who you are. With these keys in mind, the most important goal is not to lose weight.

The goal which should come to mind first is to live the healthiest life you can. And there’s no way of loosing at that.
