# World Malaria Day is today. The theme of the day is 'Preparation of malaria, we are ready.' The day is celebrated in Bangladesh as in other countries of the world.

### Among the 64 districts of Bangladesh, 71 outposts of 13 districts on the southern and north-eastern borders have a serious prevalence of malaria disease. Among them, Hill Rangamati, Bandarban and Khagrachari Malaria Prakan and Cox's Bazar are identified as central malaria-trapped areas. About 1.25 million people in these areas are at risk of malaria.

### According to the Health Department's malaria eradication program, 93 percent of the total malaria in the country is in three hill districts. Analysis of the data of malaria patients in 20117, found that 85 percent of patients have falciparum germs. Which is later responsible for the death of malaria and the disease.

### According to the data obtained from the malaria eradication program, 39,771 malaria cases were reported in the country in 2015, of which 9 people died. In 2013, 27,737 malaria cases were affected and 17 people died. In 2009, 29,237 people were attacked and 13 people died.
