You can’t eat spaghetti every day, so today i had lunch at a michelin star restaurant in Knokke-Heist(Belgium).  Knokke-Heist is one of the best known villages at the coast in Belgium. And today i went there to get a fresh nose and clear my head a bit. For lunch i booked a table at Sel Gris, a very nice restaurant next to the beach.  First a small appetizer with a great bisque and a little crab flan with egg quiche.  Second appetizer. A duck mousse croquet, some kind of herring cake and some beef on a stick with a fresh dip sauce.  The appetizers were served with fresh baked bread, olive oil, butter and rillette.  As a starter carpaccio of scallops with orange and duck liver.  Main course: spring chicken with boudin blanc and winter raddish.  On the side a little confit of the spring chicken legs with celeriac cream.  Dessert: Meringue with tonka(kind of South American vanilla bean) mousse and speculoos.😋 And if that wasn’t enough, they came by with a dessert chariot. So you could make a choice between 3 types of “boules de Berlins” and 3 types of special chocolates.  I had a boule de Berlin with praliné filling and a white chocolate with yogurt and apricot inside. 👌  And when i ordered my espresso they even brought more treats. A little macaron, some kind of cake and a sugar gummy.  Not bad for a Tuesday. So conclusion: Fantastic restaurant, nice setting, great food, friendly people. I will be back.
