Self-discovery is an important part of every person as it brings about joy and inner satisfaction as well as being greatly useful in fostering and enhancing personal growth and development. Suffice me to say that self-discovery is the start and beginning of 'true' living; until you discover yourself, you will merely be existing on earth like many are. The real essence of living is seen and known when you have discovered your true self.

***What do I mean by Self-discovery?***  

Self-discovery is all about finding one's self and knowing purpose. It entails knowing your abilities, strengths, weaknesses, talents, passions gifts, likes, dislikes etc. It is entirely about having a clear knowledge and understanding of one's self. It is also worthy of note that no one can discover yourself for you; people can only guide or help you to but you have the responsibility of finding who you are. 

By creation, we were all created to be unique and distinct. Do not try to copy another, be the original version of you. Sadly, many are yet to discover themselves that is why there is so much hate and sadness radiating from the world. People find themselves in professions, jobs and careers they do not love because they did not discover themselves early enough.  

The core reason we have so much depressions and suicides in the world today is because there are too many unhappy people in the society we live in. Often times, we see people who love fashion working in banks, we also see people who love exchanging words in the law court working in textile industries and so on. These things makes many to be unhappy and seemingly frustrated. 

The truth is that they do not have passion for what they do; some were compelled into doing what they are do now. How did they get there? Lack of Self-discovery. When you discover yourself, you will live life on the right track and path; you will make the right choices and decisions every time whether in career, business or marriage. It is the choices we make that determines where we would end up in life. 

Believe me, you will never find complete satisfaction and absolute joy  until you know who you are, what you love, your strengths, your weaknesses and purpose on earth. There's this joy you derive in knowing your true self. People will not be able to influence your decisions unduly. More so, you will not be confused in life because you have known your purpose. Happiness comes from loving what you do. Know you what you love; that's the starting point. 

Some of us are usually being forced to do what we do not love or have passion for. This makes it necessary for us to take a firm stand towards following after what we love, irrespective of oppositions. Take out time to discover yourself because no one would come to discover the you in you for you. Only you can discover the you in you.

***How do you discover you?***

Assuming, you bought a new car or anything you don't know how to operate, the first thing you do is usually to refer to the manufacturer's guide. It is in the manual you get to know how to make use of what you bought. 

Similarly, we did not create ourselves; we were being created by the Supreme Being - GOD! The first step to be taken towards self-discovery is to have an in-depth knowledge and close relationship with our Maker (GOD). We first discover ourselves in God's will and purpose for us. Second thing is to take time to study yourself. If you must isolate yourself do; have a quiet time, ask yourself certain and answer them as well. By so doing, you will definitely find out the true.

It is then you will find that inner joy and satisfaction. Summarily, self-discovery is very vital and until you discover yourself, you existence will create nor have any impact.
